S.E. Cupp: Democrats Have Only Themselves to Blame for Trump
Pundit S.E. Cupps piece over at the New York Daily News may not fully explain the victory of Donald Trump, but it certainly details one important piece of it.
Heres how it begins:
They have no one to blame but themselves. Democrats have lost up and down the ballot, and at a time when President Obama is well-liked and Donald Trump is not.
But for nominating Hillary Clinton, Democrats may suffer a wave election. And they deserve to lose. She was deeply flawed coming into this election. Anyone but Donald Trump the woman-hating, everyone-hating candidate should have propelled her to victory. But Democrats were so busy protecting their deeply flawed candidate that they never considered someone could beat her.
I have been saying this since it first began to look like a Trump vs. Clinton showdown in November. Most people I know who support - or ended up supporting Trump did so with some reluctance. They werent all in on The Donald, but Clinton, for all of the now-well-documented reasons, was simply a non-starter for them.
What many casual observers are getting wrong is thinking that everyone who voted for Trump did so with great enthusiasm, and with loads of affection for Trump himself.
They did not. Many voted for him because the only other major-party option was no option at all.
It did not have to be that way for Democrats this year, but they cannot help themselves.
When Jim Webb, the former Democratic senator from Virginia who also served as Secretary of the Navy under Reagan and was awarded the Navy Cross, Silver Star, and two Purple Hearts for his service in Vietnam and who also tends to hold more socially liberal ideas without being unhinged - considered competing this time around for the Democratic nomination, he was essentially chased from the field by other Dems before the race even started because his values did not match their lunacy. A guy like Webb, had he found himself the party nominee this year, may well have sailed over a Donald Trump into the White House, but the heavily-agendized elements of the Democratic Party prevented that from happening.
Those of you who are garden-variety Democrats can gripe about Trump all you want, but I would suggest that those who do also cast a bit of a thoughtful, introspective eye toward not only the reality of their own deeply-flawed candidate, but to a party line that is replete with its own, significant elements of intolerance and indecency.

CNNs Van Jones: Trumps Victory a Whitelash Against a Black President
Van Jones, leftist analyst over at CNN, had some impassioned words for those on set, as well as for all those watching the networks election coverage at home, when it became clear that Donald Trump would become the nations 45th President of the United States.
After some blathering about bullies and bigots, as well as about how terrified immigrant families will be by the results of the election (He surely doesnt mean legal immigrants does he? Why would they be terrified?), he had this to say:
But we havent talked about race. This was a whitelash against a changing country. It was whitelash against a black president in part. And thats the part where the pain comes.
So thats really the point he wanted to make; that the reason Hillary Clinton was defeated is because white voters dont like having a black president.
Right.
Spare me the leftist identity politics. Lets set aside the fact that this country so fell in love with a black junior senator from Illinois eight years ago that it elected him twice to the nations highest office; black candidates whom I have genuinely favored through the years, and for whom I would have enthusiastically voted, have all been subject to vicious, hateful attacks by so-called progressives (a misnomer if there ever was one) FOR their politics, and roundly dismissed as Uncle Toms, house negroes, and much, much worse. Never have I heard the use of these pejoratives condemned by Mr. Jones, nor even by any of my own left-leaning friends who see themselves as terribly enlightened.
As for the women for whom I could have easily voted because of our (relatively) matching political values, they regularly find themselves on the receiving end of charming characterizations like whore, and a whole lot worse - again, from those who mystifyingly see themselves as progressive.
Van Jones is entirely wrong. This was not a repudiation of a black president, nor a repudiation of a woman president. It was a repudiation of a set of political values that real Americans find repugnant, and for which they can no longer muster any tolerance.

Glenn Beck: Obama Made Me a Better Man
Will the real Glenn Beck please stand up?
Many news outlets, including The Washington Times, have been reporting on an interview Glenn Beck recently gave to The New Yorker in which he said some things that sounded very unusualat least in terms of the Glenn Beck we all thought we knew.
Beck has been sounding a more centrist theme for a little while now, but, in his interview with The New Yorker, he went just a little bit further in that direction, you might say. For example:
Obama made me a better man.
Come again?
Beck said that he now regrets referring to Obama as a racist, and also that he now sees himself as a supporter of Black Lives Matter, stating, There are things unique to the African-American experience that I cannot relate to. I had to listen to them.
Beck also took the opportunity to beat up on Republican nominee (and perhaps President-elect of the United States by the time you read this) Donald Trump some more, calling him dangerously unhinged.
So maybe this is the real Glenn Beck. I have no idea anymore.
Many have speculated as to why Beck has been back-peddling so furiously from what was once a notoriously firebrand style of conservatism. Some say that his own conservative media empire is falling apart, and that he needs to cultivate a new audience to whom to preach. Others say he must have hit his head.
Here is what few are saying, however: that his change of heart, his change of ideas, is genuine.
That said, the fact is that many have legitimate issues with Black Lives Matter, with Obamas policies and manner of rule over the last eight years, and with even the thought of Hillary Clinton becoming president. One need not even be all that conservative to have these issues.
So, what is going on with Glenn Beck, exactly?

Convicted Felon Pretending to Be Disabled Marine Officer Uncovered as a Fake After 22 Years
A convicted felon with a long history of arrests was recently exposed by FOX6 News of Milwaukee, Wisconsin for posing as a disabled Marine Corps officer for the last 22 years.
John Hemphill, who has officially gone by the name Lieutenant John Hemphill for as long as anyone around him can remember, found himself on the receiving end of what were some rather benign questions from members of the FOX6 Investigators team while he was a volunteer working the concession stand at a local high school football game.
When Lieutenant Hemphill was asked by FOX6s Stephen Davis if he was a Marine, Hemphill answered affirmatively, but when Davis went on to ask him where he had served, Hemphill reportedly doubled over and covered his mouth, claiming later that he was choking on a fly. As it turns out, he never got around to answering that question.
Hemphill is 46 years old and unemployed. He also has a prosthetic leg, which he has claimed was lost in Afghanistan. That, however, is not the case.
When FOX6 contacted Mary Schantag, a founder of The Fake Warrior Project, which is a group of volunteers dedicated to outing military imposters, about Hemphill, she made a request for his service record under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act. According to what she learned, the Marine Corps had no evidence that Hemphill was ever among their ranks.
As Schantag put it, I don't know how he lost his leg. But I can guarantee it wasn't in the bombing in Afghanistan and it certainly wasn't in an ambush in Vietnam. Hemphill has also claimed he served in Vietnam, which, as it happens, would have been impressive, if true; the United States exited Vietnam in 1975, when Hemphill was 5 years old, which means he would have unquestionably been the youngest combat veteran in the history of the American military if what he said about service in Southeast Asia was real.
Schantag told FOX6 that the matter of people pretending to be veterans is an epidemic, presently.
As for the fallout Hemphill will face, beyond the bad publicity, well, first and foremost, his wife is divorcing him over this. As Sheila Hemphill puts it, The whole marriage was based on a fraud.
Hemphill may face legal troubles, as well, if it is determined that he benefitted financially from his false claims of military service, something that could put him at odds with the Stolen Valor Act federal statute.

Comey on 650,000 Hillary Emails: Nothing New Here; Case Closed
For many, it is difficult to decide which was more surprising: that FBI director James Comey decided just over a week ago to reopen the investigation into Hillary Clintons use of a private email server to transmit and receive classified informationor his announcement on Sunday that the review of new information yielded nothing that would prompt the agency to proceed any further with the matter.
The investigation, such that it was, is really closed now.
So, what happened here in the 11th hour?
Those of us who make up the Great Unwashed will likely never be privy to the inside information. All we know, which means, what we have been told, is this: When the latest revelation of 650,000 emails on an Anthony Weiner device broke, the first response from the FBI was that there would be no additional information forthcoming until after the election.
That seemed reasonable; after all, it took the agency about a year to evaluate roughly 60,000 emails the first time around.
In just a matter of several days, however, that all changed, when Comey basically announced Sunday, Nothing to see here; move on, please.
Reportedly, software was put in place that allowed the 650,000 emails to be scanned for select words and phrases that would be of interest to the Bureau in its investigation. The emails were put through this process for the last eight days, and by Sunday it was determined that no information was revealed that would in any way strengthen a case against Clinton, or otherwise prompt the Bureau to reach a conclusion different from the one at which it arrived back in July.
As Comey put it to lawmakers in his letter to them once he arrived at the end of this latest look-see: Based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in July with respect to Secretary Clinton.
Ultimately, this played out the way many expected it would. In the end, Hillary emerges essentially unscathed. To many of us, it never seemed likely that she would ever be charged with anything.
And she wasnt.

Pew Research: Democrat Support for Limitless Abortion Has Risen Since 2007
A recent survey from Pew Research reveals that, with each passing year, Democrats become more strident, more hardened, more viciousin their support for abortion.
It is hardly a secret that Democrats have been so-called pro-choice for really as long as any of us can remember, but what is truly startling is how embracing theyve become in recent years for the idea of what is, essentially, limitless abortion.
As reported by the Christian Post, Pew found that the share of Democrats who think abortion should be legal in basically all cases has jumped dramatically from 66 percent in 2007 to 79 percent here in 2016.
And I thought we were supposed to be evolving as a society...
Particularly disturbing to many is that it is women, the supposed nurturers of children and babies, who are leading the charge toward an anything goes abortion environment in America. As Pew details it, This shift in Democratic support is especially pronounced among women. Currently, 85% of Democratic women think abortion should be legal in all or most cases, up 18 points from March. This is the highest level of support for legal abortion among Democratic women in the past two decades.
As a matter of fact, speaking of men, support for abortion within the body of Democratic males has actually dropped a bit; according to Pew, the percentage of men in the party who think abortion is fine in all cases has actually gone down since March, from 75 percent to 71 percent. It is still an enormous number, to be sure, but does represent a move in the more humane, and human, direction, nevertheless.
Thats something, I guess.
But not much.

Hillary's E Mails - Comey Says Move Along Nothing To See Here
In a shocking reversal, FBI Director James Comey says he has reviewed the e mails on Anthony Weiner's computer and he stands by his original position that Hillary Clinton should not be charged. But this raises several questions about why these e mails were on the computer of Anthony Weiner, an alleged pedophile without a security clearance. Stories continue to surface online that the Department Of Justice is blocking the NYPD from making arrests in the Anthoney Weiner sexting case. WikiLeaks e mail opens up another e mail mystery for the Clintons when a 2 terrabyte drive containing e mails from Bill Clinton's Administration disappears from the National Archives. And a California public transit janitor that earned $276,000 last year.
Leftist Celebrities Outdo Themselves with Stunningly Profane & Blasphemous Pro-Hillary Video
Stunning to me is the degree to which they dont get it.
Were all used to leftist celebrities using their fame to tell us how to vote. Nothing new there.
But this? This takes all of thatto a whole new level, and, in doing so, demonstrates just how completely out of touch they are.
Breitbart fills us in on a pro-Hillary get out the vote sort of video assembled by a bunch of Hollywood stars that is amazing in just how rude and crude it is.
The video, called Holy Sh*t (Youve Got to Vote), is the brainchild (a misnomer if there ever was one) of actress Rachel Bloom, who pulled together such names as Elizabeth Banks, Mayim Bialik (The Big Bang Theory), and Jesse Tyler Ferguson (Modern Family) to participate in a We are the World type of video in which everyone sings vile lyrics to a pro-Clinton, anti-Trump song. The tune, loaded with f-bombs throughout, at one point refers to Jesus Christ with the invocation of an f-bomb for His middle name.
Other news sites have gone on to describe the lyrics in more detail, using symbols to replace key letters in the profane words they detail, but Im not going to do that here. You get the picture. Plus, if you want to get an eyeful of the video yourself, you may do so through the link provided in this article.
Bloom recently gave an interview to Entertainment Weekly about the production, saying, in part, If this video motivates one person, especially in a swing state, to just get out there, then it will have been worth it. I just personally didnt want to say I did nothing. I wanted to say I tried.
She means, of course get out there to vote for Hillary. Methinks it will not do any good, however, and may even hurt the cause. A video consisting of many of Americas favorite weekly TV stars, screaming the vilest things in the name of promoting Hillary Clinton, isnt likely to have the effect even among many Democrats intended.
Like I said: out of touch.

Globalist Puppeteer George Soros Spends $2 Million to Defeat AZ Sheriff Joe Arpaio
Globalist string-puller George Soros is everywhere.
The billionaire hedge fund legend, who clearly believes his great wealth permits him to behave in the fashion of a deity, is now working, via a financial investment of $2 million, to defeat Maricopa County, Arizonas long-standing, tough-talking, law-and-order Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
According to POLITICO, Soros has made it one of his many missions in the last couple of years to knock out sitting local prosecutors around the country, so that others who have a more progressive outlook on criminal justice may take their places.
In those other races, Soros has contributed between $1 million and $1.5 million, which means that Soros has saved his largest donation in this endeavor for the Maricopa Strong PAC in an attempt to unseat the Republican Arpaio.
It is said that one of the reasons Soros is throwing so much money at this race has to do with the fact that not only is the sheriff not nearly evolved enough for Soros when it comes to the application of criminal justice, but that Soros takes an especially dim view of Arpaios strong opposition to illegal immigration.
The Arpaio campaign has squarely accused Soros of meddling in local politics, and has openly referred to him as a far-left globalist. Arpaios opponent, Democrat Paul Penzone, is said to be leading the sheriff in various polls heading into the election this Tuesday, with one recent Arizona Republic/Morrison/Cronkite News poll showing Penzone up by nearly 15 points. However, according to the Arpaio campaign, their own poll on the race shows the sheriff leading by 8 points.
The meddling is not limited to Soros, either, as other significant contributors to Maricopa Strong include Texas energy billionaires Laura and John Arnold, as well as Laurene Powell Jobs, the widow of iconic Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.
