Jesse Jackson Calls For Obama To Pardon Hillary Clinton
ChristianMoney.com Staff Writers
Jesse Jackson, speaking at an anti-racism rally at the University Of Michigan, called on President Obama to pardon Hillary Clinton. Jackson said, 'In this election, voters voted for fear. I think hope will defeat hate, but it's a battle.' Jackson also referenced the Richard Nixon pardon in his remarks and added, 'Hillary Clinton has not been tried, but there are those who want to drag her for the next three years. It will not stop until they find a reason to put her in jail. That would be a travesty.'
Trump's selection for Attorney General is a possible clue as to whether or not he will pursue the Clintons once he is sworn in. A tough law and order AG might be a sign that the Clinton investigation will continue into a Trump Administration.

Child Abuse Cases Related to Witchcraft and Possession on the Rise in UK
According to the International Business Times, cases of child abuse linked to efforts at removing any of a variety of evil spirits from African children living in the United Kingdom (UK) are on the rise, according to both authorities and the advocacy charity Africans Unite Against Child Abuse (Afruca).
Spiritual leaders within the diaspora community have managed to convince parents of the victimized children that their kids have come to be possessed or otherwise afflicted with evil forces. According to Afruca, up to 400 people are at risk of this kind of abuse each year in the UK, and the Metropolitan Police reports that there were over 60 confirmed cases of such abuse in London last year, compared to just 23 in 2014 and 46 in 2014.
While it is said that the principal means by which these evil spirits can be chased from the bodies are exorcism, deliverance, and prayer, some of the children are subjected to significant physical trauma in the effort to free them from their various, supposed demonic afflictions. The abuse can take a variety of forms, but is generally some type of emotional, physical, and/or sexual victimization.
Stunningly, parents may be so convinced of their childrens possession that the kids will be alienated and even entirely disowned by their families.
Afruca is lobbying to make accusations of possession illegal in the UK, which would, in turn, open the door for the aforementioned spiritual leaders who are the sources of the allegations to face

Mayors of Sanctuary Cities Prepare for Showdown with a President Trump
Despite the fact that President Trump has so-called sanctuary cities in his sights, many of the representative mayors are defiantly vowing to keep their municipalities as safe havens for undocumented immigrants, come what may.
San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee, New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, and Rahm Emanuel of Chicago have all gone on record that they will not cooperate with the federal government to apprehend illegals in their cities and deport them.
They are, by no means, the only mayors taking such a stand. According to Bloomberg, over 200 sanctuary cities in the U.S. have indicated they will not assist the feds in whatever efforts they undertake to send immigrants here illegally back to their countries of origin.
Emanuel took to the radio earlier this week to share his thoughts on the matter, saying, in part, I would say to the president-elect, that the idea that youre going to penalize Boston, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Philadelphia -- these are the economic, cultural and intellectual energy of this country.
President-elect Trump repeatedly attacked sanctuary cities throughout the campaign, and has said that the deportation of criminals illegally in the U.S. would be among his highest of priorities. Trump has indicated that would assemble a special task force within Immigration and Customs Enforcement to facilitate the removal of illegal immigrants from within the nations borders.
While those U.S. mayors challenging Trump on the issue are talking tough right now, it remains to be seen how long that might last. Trump has threatened to withhold an array of federal funds from those cities that do not comply, a sum that represents hundreds of billions of dollars, overall.

Gig Economy Already Showing Signs of Withering Away
The gig economy is the future of many in working America?
Not so fast.
According to a report from The Wall Street Journal, JPMorgan Chase & Co. Institute data reveals that growth on gig platforms like Uber, TaskRabbit, Etsy, and many others is slowing considerably.
JPMorgan Chase reviewed bank records to see how many folks were actually being paid earnings from these platforms, and found that while there continues to be positive activity, it has slowed to a point that suggests the primary growth spurt may have come to an end.
According to the research, only 1% of adults are active on these gig sites during a given month now, a figure that contrasts with the 4.3% whove tried them out.
Some more telling numbers: Roughly 52% of those using labor platforms stop doing so after a year, and no more than 26% of folks are still using them after two years.
Commenting on the data, Diana Farrell, head of the JPMorgan Chase Institute, said, The online platform economy continues to grow, but the pace of growth has slowed dramatically. As unemployment falls and more people gain traditional jobs, they are less likely to participate in the online platform economy and more likely to exit.

Will Riots, Social Unrest Prove to Be the New Normal in Wake of Trump Election?
Since the election of Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States, many of Americas cities have remained in the grip of violent protestors angry at the electorates choice.
Much of the survival community saw this coming. While a large number of them were hoping to see a President Trump, it was also difficult to imagine the reaction of the progressive left to his election would be anything approaching acquiescent.
Sure enough, trouble has reigned since November 8.
The city of Portland, Ore. has been a particularly acute flashpoint for anti-Trump rioting and violence. Two men there were just arrested and charged with attempted murder in connection with a shooting that occurred during an anti-Trump demonstration, and police in that city quickly went from referring to the acts of disobedience as protests, to calling them riots.
Trouble in the wake of the Trump election has beset cities large and small throughout the United States, from New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago, to less-populated municipalities like Worcester, Mass. and Iowa City, Iowa.
The trouble, the violenceis everywhere.
Whats more, many protestors have said that these demonstrations will be a mainstay of the Trump presidency.
Will that prove to be the case?
It is difficult to know, for sure, but given that many of these disruptions are allegedly being fueled and funded by wealthy agitators with enormous bank accounts, it may well be so.
So what do YOU do?
Two things: First, you and those like you continue to work to capture as many hearts and minds as possible inside the arena of ideas. It can be a challenge, but, as bad as things are, they are still not quite so bad that inroads cannot be made in that respect.
The other thing you dois make sure you are ready for anything.
One of the areas of survival preparation that sometimes receives short shrift pertains to urban survival. Much of the dialogue that exists out there has to do with how to stay alive when youre stranded deep in the woods, but, for so many, what is of much more relevance is how to remain intact when trouble unfolds in more populated settings.
Thankfully, there is a growing body of work that covers this specific sub-category of survival, and you can now find more information on the topic by way of a simple Google search. Alternatively, there are some awfully good products out there that provide very helpful advice, and one that we like is a 60-minute video called Surviving Civil Unrest. Your guide throughout Surviving Civil Unrest is Chance Sanders, a former Marine Corps infantryman and marksmanship instructor, as well as a professional educator in the realm of survival. In addition to this terrific, comprehensive video guide, you will also receive several bonuses, including a full transcription of survivalist EJ Owens' 6-hour Tactical Home Defense training.
Whats more, your purchase is protected by a 60-day, money-back guarantee. If, at any time in the first two months of buying Surviving Civil Unrest, you decide it is not for you, no problem; just say so, and get back all of your money.

In Wake of Clinton Defeat, Calls in Democratic Party Grow for a Revolutionary Shift Further Left
In an election in which the politics of the Democratic left were repudiatedthe answer, for many of those same Democrats, is to shift further to the left.
The Hill is reporting that many of the liberals to whom they have spoken in the wake of the election are looking to ignite a revolution, a Tea Party-style revolt, from within the party, with the primary objective being to purge it of the Clinton-corporate wing altogether.
David Goodfriend, a former official in Bill Clintons administration, said, One thing for sure is that the Democratic Party will lean more on Bernie than Hillary going forward, referring to Bernie Sanders, unsuccessful challenger to Hillary Clinton for the nomination of the Democratic Party.
For his part, Robert Reich, the former Labor Secretary and himself a high-profile progressive Democrat, was on a conference call with members of Democracy for America, a group supportive of progressive ideals at the grassroots level, and said, The Democratic Party can no longer be the same, it has been repudiated.
This has been a huge refutation of establishment politics and the political organization has got to be changed...if the Democratic Party cant do it, well do it through a third party.
According to The Hill, many Democrats see the election of the next chair of the Democratic National Committee as being the first battle at which progressives will try to wrest control of the party from their version of the establishment. Bernie Sanders has endorsed Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) for that position. Ellison, a Muslim as well as a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, would clearly represent a step to the left for the Democrats if he were to, in fact, end up serving as chair of the DNC.
Should this move in a more leftward direction come to pass, it will be fascinating to see just how it is received by the electorate, at large, given their decision to hand over the Oval Office to Donald Trump just a few days ago.

Former Republican Senator (and Doctor) Tom Coburn Says Obamacare Can Be Fixed
When Donald Trump was running for president, one of his most prominent campaign promises declared that he would repeal and replace Obamacare.
That may not be happening now. In fact, it seems very likely that while there may be some modifications to the Affordable Care Act, the law itself will remain intact.
Trump has actually been saying for some time now that he has every intention of hanging on to two of Obamacares most notable provisions the ability of adult children to remain on their parents plans, and the mandate that insurance companies must make coverage available to those with pre-existing conditions. Still, the impression he had been giving all along the campaign trail was that while those components would be a part of his replacement for Obamacare, the current law would, in fact, go the way of the wind.
The problem may be, however, that it is not really possible to keep these provisions without having Obamacare; you may no longer call it Obamacare, but, ultimately, you will be left with a health care structure that is, for all practical purposes, the same thing.
For his part, former Sen. Tom Coburn went on the record Monday with CNBC to say that it would be possible to make the necessary fixes to Obamacare by allowing for the exertion of market forces and transparency within the health insurance industry.
Appearing as a guest on Squawk Box, Coburn, also a medical doctor, said, on the matter of pre-existing conditions, that if people were required to stick to a strict opt-in period each year, one that prevented them from enrolling for insurance coverage only when they learned they were sick, it would be possible to make the coverage of pre-existing conditions manageable.
