"One evening as I traveled,
the moon feel from the sky.
Her skin was like a salmon’s,
and tears..."

“One evening as I traveled,

the moon feel from the sky.

Her skin was like a salmon’s,

and tears came from her eyes.

I asked her why she wept alone,

and this is what she said:

‘It’s my blood that makes the light at night,

that shines down on your heads.

‘It’s my arms,’ she said,

‘that hold the stars aloft in Heaven’s blue

‘It’s my voice,’ she said,

‘that makes your sailor’s voyage straight and true.’

I asked her what help I could be,

she touched my heart so dear.

‘Just look up each moonlit night,

and remember I was here.

‘Just look up each moonlit night,

and remember I was here.’”

I loved this bit in Secret Six, there’s something both horrific and wonderful about how the whole team covered for Scandal without a second thought, even though what she was doing was awful.

The 5 Comic Characters I would most like to play Boggle with:

wellsdog:

*this post is inspired by the wonderful Gail Simone, and brought to you courtesy of too much spare time in the summer oh dear lord what i don’t even

Tony Stark:

The intelligence. Anthony Edward Stark is a very smart man, and everyone knows that smart people can spell good. Also, I’ve heard rumors he gets a lot of Boggle time.

Floyd Lawton:

You know that scene in Mean Girls where they’re all “she has big hair cuz it’s full of secrets”? Well, I bet Deadshot’s mustache is full of grammar and spelling.

Kurt Wagner:

German is a hard language to learn, but English is even harder to master as a second language. Nightcrawler here learned how to speak English via Professor X’s Fabulous Direct-to-Brain Language Lessons, Guaranteed Fluency 100%! I bet he’d be really good at Boggle.

Moonstone:

She’s a psychologist and that means grad school, where you have to write lots of papers, and she got licensed so you know she did well in school, and since she did well so she’d be able to write well, and write quickly. Also, she’s like evil and manipulative and stuff, so you know she’s resourceful and a quick thinker. And no one does competitive like a villain does.

Abe Sapien:

I’m thinking the scene from the movie, where he reads all the books and you find out he does this all the time, while swimming in a tank, dressed scantily and moving all seductive-like? Yeah. Boggle would be Abe’s game.

I bet Deadshot smells like cigarettes and spite.

Yay! Going To See Weird Al Tonight!

Cannot WAIT. I am such a fan, and he always does an amazing show.

Happy!

Weird Al was almost in a Wonder Woman comic. True!

Who is Dale?! Did I miss an announcement about Scandal popping back up sometime?!

Dale Eaglesham, the brilliant artist who designed her!

Are we ever going to find out more about Scandal's tattoo any time soon?

Dang! I forgot to ask Dale about those. I have an idea, but he may have some more complicated thing. I will ask!

Hi Gail, Chris from Edmonton here. I recall you once saying that Alice started life as a City of Heroes creation. What were her powersets?

I don’t believe that is correct…I created her years before City Of Heroes existed. She was called Kid Sorority at the time. However, I do believe I played a Black Alice character in City of Heroes for quite a while. I can’t really recall if she had energy powers or magic powers. Sorry! But it was a pretty close match, physically, people recognized her all the time. I used to play a Black Canary character named Siu Jerk Jai and LOTS of people got that reference!

Help please. Anyone. (TW: Sick animal)

My cat Spooky is in the hospital and might die. They think he is having liver failure and are currently giving him a blood transfusion to keep him alive. To give him the treatments he needs, we need to raise $800. I’m desperate to save my cat and will be taking donations and also offering full color commissions for $20. If you want to help in either way, please send me a ask. All payments should be made to trickyartfuldodger@gmail.com on paypal.

A great (not me) Black Canary, Booster Gold, and Nightwing from Geek Girl Con!

oh hey, these people look familiar…

So if anyone is curious about what I was doing this weekend…I was the Black Canary, Rikki was Booster, and Jess was Nightwing ♥

You are absolutely one of my favorite Black Canary’s ever, there is just something about your acting and body language when in Dinah’s costume, it’s amazing.

Oh gosh, thank you so much! That’s pretty much the greatest compliment I could have gotten. I’m seriously blushing over here! It’s always a pleasure to see you and I’m really glad you came back to Geek Girl Con.

And I’ll have to whip out Knockout again last time, I forgot I lent a friend my wig so it was a no go for Sunday, sadly.

Also, my hubby said he was sorry he didn’t know what you were talking about right away, he thought you were talking about something I had done. He sends his apologies!
