Whatever it is they call themselves now.
One of the first characters I ever created that I genuinely loathed, just wanted something terrible to happen to him from the moment I started writing his dialog.
Gail, It's John Byrne's 63rd birthday July 6. I'm asking people what their favorite character is that he draws and why. I'll then post that character with their reason quoted beneath it. If you have time, can you send me a quick answer?
Clark and Lois, definitely. Working with him on ACTION for those issues was incredibly rewarding. No single artist has taught me more about how to lay out a page so that the storytelling has maximum impact and clarity.
AND he was an absolute joy to work with the entire series.
But when he drew Clark/Superman together in any scene with Lois, it was a genuine showstopper for me. PERFECT chemistry.
Dear Gail. I finally got the first 3 part of the Mouvement. I had to say... I am not a fan of DC new 52 right now. Not at all. But this? This is awesome. This is what I want to read when I open a comic. you are making me like Dc again and ALMOST forgiving

I am VERY proud of next issue, and the series just keeps building and building.

First they don’t stock Batgirl, then they get one copy of The Movement and I grab it, then they don’t get it this month after I insisted they did. They don’t make it easy to be a Gail Simone fanboy. I feel I need to set Vengeance Moth on them.

I can sorta kinda understand not wanting to take a chance on a new book, I guess. Retailing is hard.
But not stocking one of DC’s top titles just seems very weird. What excuse do they use?
It’s weird, everywhere I went in Ireland, the readers and comics shops were AMAZING.

I brought Mouse and Trouncer to my knitting group tonight to show off. It was uncomfortably hot and I was getting fatigued, so I left early.
Look at what I found waiting in the subway entrance.
Not on the tracks. Not on the platform. Right at the bottom of the stairs coming in, before the ticket gate. This is only the second time I’ve seen that since coming to New York, and the other time was in the middle of a long, rather secluded passageway between exits, not right where everyone comes in.
Guys.
I think he came to see his prince.
