So, because I had something going on pretty much all day yesterday, by the time I got to Free Comic Book Day at my LCS, most of the free comics were already gone. That was fine, though, as I got what was there for my pull list since my last visit, and Eliese and I browsed around, checking out the sales they had going on.

Turns out, there was a 40% off sale going on for figures, and so I decided that it was time to bite the bullet, and get the Barbara Gordon Batgirl figure that I’ve been eyeing there for, gosh, probably ever since I started going there regularly. I’ve just never had any other excuse to make the drive to Statesboro on FCBD, so missed out on past sales like this.

But, now, this beauty is mine, and I am so happy! SHE’S SO PRETTY, AND I LOVE HER.

Also, last shot it here and my other Babs figures. I really need something else Oracle, sob.

Hey Gail! I remember reading that you really liked the Rhino, but I was curious, how did you feel about his Ultimate universe, exo-suit wearing counterpart?

Never read it, I have only sampled the Ultimate universe, sadly.

Free Comic Book Day Thing

Guys, I say this every year. Please please please go to your participating lcs today and have fun, that is the entire point!

But just a reminder, many people don’t realize that the stores do have to pay for the comics they give away. They pay for the comics, and they also pay for shipping.

Please, all I am asking is that you do a little shopping in the store when you come to get your free books. Maybe there us a tpb, or a toy or game you have been eyeing, please consider picking it up today.

It helps keep the store’s cash flow going, and helps them continue this fun event.

I mean. Gail Simone comics are really important to me. They are important to me on a level that no other comics are. That no other books are.

Do you think we'll ever have a canon bisexual or pansexual Wonder Woman? I fell like DC really dropped the ball by not doing it right off the bat in the New 52. Although I think the reboot is still fesh enough were they could add that.
