Yeah, no that's totally fine. I didn't need my emotions, so it's totally okay that the last issue of The Movement kicked me in the feels. But in other news, does this mean that Virtue is her own All-Lantern?
Well, as long as it’s FINE. :)
And yeah, Virtue is a LOT more powerful than she knows.

Poor stinky Sonja!
What a Great FCBD!
Did you go and celebrate Free Comic Book Day? I did and had a blast!
I (along with DCWKA, jr.) headed up to Double Midnight Comics in Manchester, NH. These folks help put on the Granite State Con which I’ve attended a few times and it gets better every year. Their shop is great - big, well lit…
Oh shoot! I was there too! I would have loved to meet up with you, even if just to thank you for your blog. I’m glad you had a fun time! Double Midnight Comics truly made this a fantastic day; they outdid themselves, and it was the best FCBD event I’ve ever been to. It seemed everyone had such a great time!
This was my favorite picture of the day:

I’m crouching down a little, lunging kinda, so Wonder Woman can be seen better. Gail Simone signed my sword! :D I kinda did that fangirling-freezing-up thing where all I could manage to do was thank her for her work. My brain is going ‘Say more, say more!’ but I just got all blushy, and grinning, and quiet. She and her husband were a pleasure to meet, though! All big smiles!
Okay. Here’s why I rarely complain about what I do for a living.
Free Comic Book Day. Surrounded by readers of every age and sexuality and gender and ethnicity and background. A group of lovely, generous and wonderful cosplayers all cosplaying characters I have written. Barbecue cooking in the background.
And the store asks if I “wouldn’t mind” taking some photos on the Bat-cycle.
HELL NO I WOULDN’T MIND.
Guys, that smile on my face? That is pure happy joy.
When I was a kid, I wanted to ride in the Batmobile, sure. But what I REALLY wanted was to drive the BAT-CYCLE.
Years later, I get my chance, surrounded by people I don’t even know but already adore.
THIS WAS A GOOD ****ING DAY.

Keep this up and I’ll make a “Red Sonja is horny” montage ^^
Red Sonja #9 by Gail Simone and Walter Geovani
I love how this is such a barbarian fantasy, but really for women, and even more honest than some of the male versions I’ve seen, because sometimes in stories like Hercules, Kull, Conan, Scorpion King, Icewind Dale, the main barbarian characters are shy, gentlemanly, like, “I’m here for business” or “I’m chasing someone, so later, ladies” because they don’t want their main characters to be too much of a womanizer. Sometimes they’re even monogamous. Here she’s just “MOAR” XD
Love this issue…it’s funny, but there is some stuff I have never seen addressed in an adventure comic.
Wonder Woman Is ...
That one time when #WonderWoman was awesome in #SecretSix
Imagine for a moment being on Wonder Woman’s bad side. And then she shows up unexpectedly to have a little talk with you.
Cue awe and soiled garments.
That’s a scenario writer Gail Simone and artist Nicola Scott set up beautifully when Diana confronted our favorite anti-heroes in Secret Six #12. Wonder Woman’s memorable guest appearance through issue #14 was the icing on top of one of Secret…

So this basically sums up my free comic book day. I wish I had the energy to write out a huge lovey-dovey post about how much I absolutely adore the new england costume family we have up here, but omg I am BURNT out. Double Midnight Comics have outdone themselves this year, and I was so happy all of my gross shameless begging to get Gail Simone up to the store paid off! Thanks again Gail! I hope to see you and Scott up here again soon!
Also thanks for being an awesome sport and taking a Carol Corps style “duck face selfie” for Kelly Sue with me and my friends haha!!
I had the best time ever! Thank you, Bethany!

"My husband and I have performed before royalty often. This garb? It’s merely armor of a different sort."
I love Barda to pieces omg.
And honestly, I could have an entire series dedicated to her and Helena going around, kicking ass and taking names in fancy ballgowns together. That’d be amazing.
"Drop dead" is one of my favorite Helena moments, too XD
And look at Barda — she’s just so impressed with Helena’s spunk and attitude.
Barda in Birds of Prey was not my idea, but she fit in so well, it killed me to let her go.
