Do You Ever Get The Feeling...
…that some fandoms are more fun than the actual thing they are celebrating?

My daughter got to meet the amazing msjayjustice at Dragon Con 2014 and these ladies could not have been more friendly to her. They were very kind and Ivy was super stoked to meet them.
Anyone who doesn’t love these photos has no heart.

Wonder Woman vol 3 #28
I know people hate the chicken armor, but this is still one of my favorite moments from my run. Can anyone guess what birds Diana, Donna, and Cassie’s armor are meant to represent?
And they are gold, silver and bronze, which I also thought was fun.
Has A Comic Ever Made You Cry?
And please, I don’t mean because it sucked. :)
I mean have you ever teared up because of a story or scene, or character, anything like that, from a comic book?

So, I’m not sure how Jenny Frison pronounces her last name, but I pronounce it like “frisson.” I’m from an area with Cajun French roots, and when someone gets a random chill — those really eerie ones that run down your spine and cause you to shudder — we call it “The Frisson.”…
This is a funny story, in a way. A friend of mine, the first time I went to a Chicago con, brought me over to see Jenny’s work. I was busy and a bit rushed, but I finally made it over…this was a few years ago.
And I lost my mind. I was astounded by her work. I couldn’t believe she wasn’t comics-famous yet.
I got her info, she gave me a print, and I wrote to every editor at one of the big companies that I knew, and none of them scooped her up to do covers. I was completely flabbergasted, it made no sense to me. I couldn’t believe it. But this is how it is, sometimes, sometimes people miss ridiculous levels of talent that are right in front of them (editing is a tough, tough gig).
I have been trying to work with her for ages, and she obviously became the star she was always meant to be because really, let’s face it, she’s outdrawing almost everyone out there, period.
SO I finally get to work with her on Red Sonja, and every single month she just DESTROYS almost everything else on the stands. That first cover and last cover on this post are two of the best covers I’ve ever had, two of the best covers I’ve ever SEEN.
On top of that, she’s a lovely person in all ways.
Jenny, you amaze me and I am SORRY IT TOOK SO LONG FOR US TO WORK TOGETHER.

Do you actually read Tumblr Roleplays of characters that you write for and love? (i.e: Birds of Prey characters)
I don’t. First, I really don’t have time, but second, we are told very firmly that we’re not allowed to read things like that and fanfic, to protect everyone from weird lawsuits and the like.
I have nothing against them, I reblog calls for players and stuff all the time. It sounds like huge fun and to be honest, I find it very flattering when someone is playing my version of a character.
But I can’t read it under any circumstances. Sorry! :(
Your #MyThemesAre blew up tremendously. Thank you because it helped me a lot. I enjoyed the small chat you, Jane Espenson and I had with another fellow tweeter. My question is what's your ideal format for Black Canary - film or tv and live action or animat
The answer to almost all such questions is always going to be comics. I have met several of the actresses playing Black Canary in various film things, and they’ve all been wonderful, honest. I loved them.
But it’s the comics version I love best, and I don’t see that ever changing.
I am not in comics to break into film, I like film a great deal, sometimes I love it. But I don’t think of comics as the poor cousin to film.
Comics is the medium I love best.
