Okay, this is about Batgirl: Future’s End

I am seeing some posts where people are not certain that the characters in Batgirl: Future’s End are who we hope they are, and it’s because their last names weren’t mentioned.

That’s my fault, I had no idea there would still be doubt. But just to make it 100% absolutely unquestionably clear, the last names are

Cain.

Brown.

and Fox.

The Eternally Negative

Have you ever had to distance yourself from someone because they are incapable of seeing the good in anything or anyone, ever?

I am not talking about people suffering from depression, I am talking about people who only feel good by making those around them feel bad?

I have someone like that in my real (not internet) life now…I have told them several times that I can’t live like that, I have had a lot of pain and misery in my life, and I kind of cling to kindness and good news, I cherish it. It makes me happy and there is a real cost for me to be around people who literally hate everything.

I feel bad for them, but I don’t think they actually suffer much from it, they say their mean thing about things others are happy about, and that makes them feel good. They’re fine. It’s the person who was happy a minute ago that’s unhappy now.

And the are not gifted with any particular insight, it’s not like they are seeing darkness we are all missing, what they often are doing is seeing darkness where none exists.

My unhappiness makes them happy. Is that a real friend?

I am trying to figure out the best course of action to not hurt their feelings, but I think I have paid enough on this imagined debt of dark clouds, you know?

I think that if Eve Crawford were to be among the Secret Six, that it would a fine thing indeed. She and Scandal would be grand. This is how I feel.

I did try to get Starling in there in the first round draft picks.

We went through several candidates, but I love the starting line-up. Which may not be the FINAL line-up… :)
