Everything about Strix right here makes me so...

Everything about Strix right here makes me so happy. I needed that extra bit of happiness, too.
She likes the gnome!
I think it’s like this. Her family was taken from her, and she was used almost as slave labor before being taken in as a Talon for the Court of Owls, where her life wasn’t her own.
This bit about the gnome, I wasn’t planning it (normally I plan out all the small moments), it just went in the script almost without me thinking about it, and I thought it was just an amusing little side moment. But it really seemed to resonate with people (myself included).
So I gave it some thought and I think it’s this…
She had never seen whimsy in her adult life.
Her toys were knives. Her games were fights. Her playmates were targets.
The idea of something that’s there to make you smile, whose only goal is to make you grin, that would have been something completely new to her.
I think that gnome represents both her lost years of childhood, and her hopes for a happier life.
Are u gonna return Savant and Creote cos i like dem and gay couples are rare in comic yes?
Well, hhmm.
I love those two. Gay couples are getting less rare but for some goofyass reason gay MALE couples are still kinda scarce.
I believe a weird version of Savant unconnected to the previous one appeared in Suicide Squad in the new52. I could definitely see them return. The problem is, I don’t write any of the characters they are traditionally connected to, so that makes it a little tougher. I will give it some though, I promise.
Hi Gail! I met you last year at the Boston Comic Con. You signed some Secret Six books for me and I had a teenager in tow, who was feeling too shy to speak with you. That was the child of one of my best friends. They have recently come out as Genderfluid a
Thank you for sharing this with me! I’m always sad to hear someone was too shy to say hello, because, as I have talked about here often, I am not an entertainer and am very shy myself. So I do get that reluctance, and it always makes me a little sad.
But I am glad that your friend’s child has found who they are and come out. What I would really love at this point is for more creators who identify this way to do comics, because while I can listen and try my best, I am obviously a poor substitute for someone who is talking about this from the perspective of their real life.
There are a lot of Genderfluid people out there, I think far more than people are aware of, I hope that more of them attain some visibility in comics. We need their voices, representation is very scant right now.
Does Porcelain have a male version of their costume?
Porcelain wears a few different costumes this first year, but I want them to be a surprise, sorry! :)

Love this lady!
Just a few questions about Comic Book writing. What is your schedule like? Do you write during the day or whenever you can?
I write mostly at night because I can’t write with distractions of any kind.
I nap during the day. It’s weird, but it works for me.
Are the Birds involved in the huge thing you haven't announced?
Yep.
