It was a weird feeling at first, because I was the opposite in some ways. The characters in the DCAU don’t interact in the same way…so I was writing Dinah and Helena as blood sisters in the comics and enemies in the animated show at the same time.
But I really loved the animated shows, they were so spectacular, and I’m fine they did their own thing.
How does Black Alice look back on her time apprenticing with Skeletor?

In the first picture, you can see where I bold ended and deepened the scoring. The second pic, is where I cut the edges to make them sharper.
Then I dunked the whole thing in really hot water and started shaping it. The third picture is the mostly final shape. I chose to add a slight bend in the bridge of the nose and push the mouth out farther than I’d originally intended because I plan to wear it, and needed to accommodate my nose comfortably.
Now I take a break, let it dry and “cure” because the leather will stiffen/harden as it dries! Then, probably tomorrow, I paint it!

Are all of DC's female characters your babies?
I was going to say I feel pretty protective of most of them, just because they were sort of maligned or ignored for so long, but I think their must be exceptions.
I’m trying to think of significant DC female characters I don’t like that much. It’s weird, but nothing’s springing to mind. Huh.
But the ones I still think of as ‘my babies’ I don’t want to list, because it’s not really fair to the creators who are working on them, they should be able to work on them without dealing with my possessiveness. :)
In the New 52, are there any changes to Misfit's story/origin/character?
I can’t say yet, Black Alice has had some new stuff added (some seen, some not yet seen).
But Misfit hasn’t appeared enough yet to reveal.

I have a lot of respect for DC in keeping faith in the Movement even if the audience was limited and sales slow, because they wanted it to find that audience. We're always told that sales are key to keeping books going. Which is why it's so confusing that
Books are not always canceled for sales reasons, other things come into play, as well. If a superstar creator wants to work on a book and it will lead to huge sales, they will often end a book before that person comes aboard.
I have no insider knowledge about Supergirl, but knowing what I know about the industry, I am almost positive a new book is on the way.
