Hi Gail! I was wondering are you ever planning to come to Australia for something like Supanova? Nicola Scott is coming this year and I'm so excited to get to meet her, and knowing that one day I might get to meet you in the flesh would be icing on the cak

I actually am coming to at least SwanCon in Perth, I believe, next year AND I have been invited to a couple other things, but nothing is finalized so I can’t announce it yet. I have been to cons in NZ and Australia twice, and had the BEST TIME EVER each time. The readers down there are absolutely lovely. I can’t wait to come down and see another part of the country!

Also, if you have dinner with Nicola Scott, she will eat the food right off your plate without even looking up or mentioning it. I kid you not, she does it with everyone.

Thank you for the very kind words…this story is a favorite of mine for many reasons.

I hope we get to see more of some of the characters in it, soon.

Hi Gail! I'm loving Batgirl, and was just wondering if Knightfall's name comes from the old Batman arc with Bane.

Yep, that was the inspiration, and there is quite a lot of story there yet to be told!

Today, Today, Today

I get to finally see the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Orlando. I have been waiting for this since forever.

HOORAY!

Hi! I just wanted to say that I loved Batgirl #9 so much. I do have a question about it, however: Is Mary meant to be related to Archie and Elsie Mitchell or any of the Sunday school attendees with them when they became the only casualties of the Japanese

HA!  That’s a good question!

My feeling is that it’s a different family for the DCu. I am aware of the real incident, even went to the site where it happened, but using the real family names seemed like it would be very disrespectful.

So it’s a different family.
