Me as Ms. Marvel/Carol Danvers, C2E2. Part of an Avengers VS X-Men photoshoot taken by LJinto .

It’s weird, but this beautiful shoot reminds me of a theory—that some costumes look better on a real person than on a comics page. This outfit looks better here than in most Ms. Marvel comics appearances!

Batgirl And Night Of The Owls

I don’t hype my work that much here, but seriously, I am thrilled to be part of the NIGHT OF THE OWLS storyline. Scott Snyder has come up with a BRILLIANT freaking idea, and some of the stuff in Batgirl carries over to the rest of the story.

Absolutely a joy to work on. This is what I love about shared universe books.

I hope you try it!

Last Day At Disney World

Spending it at Disney Studios. Very excited, and sad to leave.

Next stop is Universal Orlando. Woot!

wickedclothes:

There’s already a Change.org petition against the passing of Amendment One, which banned same-sex marriage, civil unions, and domestic partnerships in North Carolina. These things actually tend to be pretty damn effective.

Let’s see what the power of Tumblr can do! I know there’s at least a million Tumblr users who are against this sort of harmful discrimination and bigotry.

Sign the petition and reblog to spread the word, please!

You know what to do. Please raise your voice in ANY WAY POSSIBLE.

Oh, Man! Free Comic Book Day Kicked ASS.

Spent the day in two stores, YANCY STREET COMICS and HEROES LANDING, and the hosts could not have been nicer, and the events were like little mini-conventions, with cosplayers and sketching and it was so great!

These are both awesome stores in Florida, highly recommended.

There was a ton of cosplay, but the two closest to my heart were a STUNNING Outlaw, and an amazing Lady Blackhawk, one of the most convincing I had ever seen.

My favorite thing is that tons of kids showed up and were SO thrilled to get comics. And many, many female readers at both events, and they were just as knowledgeable and excited as the guys…I know it shouldn’t need repeating, but CHICKS DIG COMICS.

Just a great time…how was YOUR free comic book day?

heynerdgirl:

Gail Simone & Jimmy Castillo drew on our door at work. They are both amazing. (& I still love Gail Simone even if she can’t draw)

It is so true, I can’t draw to save my wretched life. :)

But it was a joy to meet you!

Free Comic Book Day!

Hooray!

I will be at YANCY STREET COMICS in Port Richey, FL, in the morning, and HEROES LANDING, in Clermont, FL, in the afternoon. Please come say hi, if you can!

And also, just a reminder, the comic shops do have to pay for the free books they give away, and shipping, which is very nice of them, so if you can do a little shopping when you pick up your books, I know they would appreciate it.

I love this day! Come join the fun!
