Tasky digs a lot of people, but when in regards to Outlaw, it’s definitely Alice Outlaw. Not sure if you’re aware of Alice Outlaw but she’s straight smoking hot.
I have no idea what you are talking about.
I think Outlaw might just gain a BUNCH of fans with Alice’s photo.

This amuses the hell out of me. Though, did I spy someone dressed like the Joker? That seems a bit poor taste, considering. Maybe he’s one of those douchebags who’s always intentionally offensive to be “edgy” or some such bullshit.

We were just moments away from a character being whitewashed in her VERY FIRST APPEARANCE. Yikes!
I created a Laotian character, a very cool one with some long-term plans, and she almost went to print white as hell.
With a colorist who is a POC, himself, as well. There’s no evil in it, but even with all the safeguards and color requests, sometimes there is just a default to Caucasian that is both sad and disturbing.
Fortunately, we caught it at JUST the last moment. There has to be a way to stop this from happening, no one is doing it on purpose, but it happens so often that it’s insidious. We have a GREAT colorist on this book, an outstanding, dedicated color artist, but somehow the messages about the character’s ethnicity did not get across. Thankfully, he was delighted to fix it, a real pro.
A close call.

There’s been quite a bit of Outlaw love, lately. Truthfully, she is one of two characters I kind of regret creating at Marvel because I haven’t worked there in so long, so I can’t use her (the other is Mary Zero).
And Alice did an AMAZING cosplay of her on FCBD!
Don’t call her Crazy Inez, though, she don’t COTTON to it.

Well, damn. On the one hand, I love Vic Sage’s episodes of JLU. On the other, Rene. ;_; Also, whitewashing. Why can’t we just have TWO Questions?
I loved WRITING the Vic Sage JLU episode, and was a big Vic Sage fan. I was a skeptic about putting Renee in the mask, I thought it would lessen her character.
I was wrong, I freaking LOVE Renee as the Question. And I could write her and Helena as a team for about a billion years.
