Branch vs Branch Social Media Showdown
You haven’t seen librarians this excited since Andrew Carnegie funded libraries like they were going out of style!
This October, all eighteen Kent District Library branches are going head to head in social media battle. On the line, eternal glory and what has been rumored to be the biggest, baddest, “awesomest” (Awesomest? Sure, why not?) trophy to ever grace a library counter.
You can help your branch clinch the win by liking their Facebook page and encouraging others to do so during the month of October. In return you’ll get access to community events, free programs, book recommendations and news releases.
Do your branch proud and like their page!

Progress Report on KDL’s New Catalog
It’s been just over a week since KDL launched our new exclusive catalog. As can be expected when you move over a million item records and hundreds of thousands of patron records, we’ve encountered a few glitches. Overall, things went well and we are exceptionally grateful for your patience and understanding as we work out some remaining challenges.
