People Love to Talk Smack!
I want to make something clear right now. I don’t care when people talk nasty about me, blame me for their failures or write inaccurate blogs about me. You can write what you’d like, but I warn you: Karma is a bitch. What you give, you get. I’m a firm believer in the “paybacks a bitch” quote.
Oh, I’m not going to do anything, because I’m not stupid and I step away from the drama. The only reason I see these things is because someone has to either clue me in to it or send me an anonymous email telling me they have something to say. (Anonymous, the most cowardly moniker someone can use).
I write about facts, and facts only. I never misquote, lie or make up drama about other people. I believe people get jealous for whatever reason they might have, but I can’t do anything about that. I’m simply trying to get by and make a living. I have no bones to pick, have no grudges to hold and no knives to stab into the backs of others. This life is hard enough without the weight of mean comments and blogs holding us down.
Some people seem to think that they’re the saviors of our country. They’ll raze the people they feel need razing and harass the people they think are the problem children of the world. My advice? Check the mirror first if you feel like writing crap about another person. Perhaps, and the chances are slim, you’ll see what you’ve become and think twice about being mean and condescending.
Do you have something mean to say about me? Comment on my blog and I’ll take it under consideration…for 5 seconds. After that, it goes in the trash to be forever burned in blog history. You won’t hurt me, you won’t cause me to lose my sanity and most importantly of all, you won’t slow my momentum.
Peace be with you….If you’d lighten up and relax.

All Perps Must Be Dealt With.
It goes both ways….For the people who I believe are innocent, falsely accused, etc, there are others who aren’t charged that absolutely should be. The kids joking about the rape and not assisting the victim are as guilty as the perps who raped her. It’s more than obvious that the police are protecting the “star” football players.
It’s a bit different then the people who stand by worrying about the victim but doing nothing: These kids actually enjoyed the disgusting actions and continued to cheer it despite the obvious pain being inflicted upon the victim. Their lack of empathy justifies arrest as much as the rape does. Shame on the police for not punishing ALL the perps. May God bless and heal the victim(s) of this cold, callous assault.
Ohio sheriff confronts protesters in football rape case
STEUBENVILLE, Ohio (Reuters) – A county sheriff under fire for how he has handled a high school rape investigation faced down a raucous crowd of protesters on Saturday and said no further suspects would be charged in a case that has rattled Ohio football country.
Ma’lik Richmond and Trenton Mays, both 16 and members of the Steubenville High School football team, are charged with raping a 16-year-old fellow student at a party last August, according to statements from their attorneys.
Jefferson County Sheriff Fred Abdalla, accused of shielding the popular football program from a more rigorous investigation, told reporters no one else would be charged in the case, just moments after he addressed about 1,000 protesters gathered in front of the Jefferson County Courthouse.
“I’m not going to stand here and try to convince you that I’m not the bad guy,” he said to a chorus of boos. “You’ve already made your minds up.”
The “Occupy Steubenville” rally was organized by the online activist group Anonymous.
Abdalla declined to take the investigation over from Steubenville police, sparking more public outrage. Anonymous and community leaders say police are avoiding charging more of those involved to protect the school’s beloved football program.
The two students will be tried as juveniles in February in Steubenville, a close-knit city of 19,000 about 40 miles west of Pittsburgh.
The case shot to national prominence this week when Anonymous made public a picture of the purported rape victim being carried by her wrists and ankles by two young men. Anonymous also released a video that showed several other young men joking about an assault.
Abdalla, who said he first saw the video three days ago, said on Saturday that it provided no new evidence of any crimes.
“It’s a disgusting video,” he said. “It’s stupidity. But you can’t arrest somebody for being stupid.”
The protest’s masked leader, standing atop a set of stairs outside the courthouse doors, invited up to the makeshift stage anyone who was a victim of sexual assault. Protesters immediately flooded the platform, which was slightly smaller than a boxing ring.
Victims passed around a microphone, taking turns telling their stories. Some called for Abdalla and other local officials to step down from office for not charging more of the people and for what they called a cover-up by athletes, coaches and local officials.
Abdalla then climbed the stairs himself and addressed the protest over a microphone.
Abdalla said he had dedicated his 28-year career to combating sexual assault, overseeing the arrest of more than 200 suspects.
Clad in a teal ribbon symbolizing support for sexual assault victims, Abdalla later told Reuters that he stood by his decision to leave the investigation with local police. He would have had to question all 59 people who the Steubenville Police Department had already interviewed in its original investigation, he said.
“People have got their minds made up,” he said. “A case like this, who would want to cover any of it up?”

Lawmakers who sexually abuse? No……really?
It’s not just in India folks…!
NEW DELHI (AP) — Indian lawmakers facing sexual assault charges could be suspended from office if the country’s top court rules in favor of a petition submitted after a gang-rape and murder that shocked the country.
Six state lawmakers are facing rape prosecutions and two national parliamentarians are facing charges of crimes against women that fall short of rape, said Jagdeep S. Chhokar, an official with the Association for Democratic Reforms, which tracks political candidate’s criminal records.
The petition will be heard Thursday, the same day police plan to formally charge six suspects in the attack on a 23-year-old university student in New Delhi two weeks ago.
The rape triggered outrage and sparked demands for stronger laws, tougher police action against sexual assault suspect and a sustained campaign to change society’s views on women.
As part of that campaign, Chief Justice Altamas Kabir agreed to hear a petition from retired government administrator Promilla Shanker asking the Supreme Court to suspend all national and state lawmakers who are facing prosecution for crimes against women.
She also asked the court to force the national government to fast-track thousands of rape cases languishing in India’s notoriously sluggish court system.
In the past five years, political parties across India nominated 260 candidates awaiting trial on charges of crimes against women, Chhokar said. Parties ran six candidates for the national parliamentary elections facing such charges, he said.
“We need to decriminalize politics and surely a serious effort has to be made to stop people who have serious charges of sexual assault against them from contesting elections,” said Zoya Hasan, a political analyst.
On Wednesday morning, several thousand women held a silent march to Gandhi’s memorial in the capital in memory of the victim, holding placards demanding “Respect” and “Justice.” Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit joined the women for a prayer session for the victim. The Gandhi memorial is a common protest site.
On Tuesday, the government set up a task force to monitor women’s safety in New Delhi and to review whether police were properly protecting women. Two task forces already are examining the handling of the rape case and possible changes in rape laws.
The rape of the unidentified woman on a bus in the capital has horrified many and brought unprecedented attention to the daily suffering of women here, who face everything from catcalls and groping to rapes.
Six men arrested in the case were to be formally charged Thursday with kidnapping, rape and murder, said Rajan Bhagat, the New Delhi police spokesman. Police have said they would push for the death penalty. Another suspect underwent medical testing to determine his age since juveniles cannot be charged with murder in India.
The Bar Association of lawyers last week decided against defending the six suspects because of the nature of the crime, although the court is expected to appoint attorneys to defend them.
Media reports say 30 witnesses have been gathered, and the charges have been detailed in a document running more than 1,000 pages. Police also have detained the owner of the bus used in the crime on accusation he used false documents to obtain permits to run the private bus service.
The family of the victim — who died Saturday at a hospital in Singapore — is struggling to come to grips with the tragedy.
“She was a very, very, very cheerful little girl and she was peace loving and she was never embroiled in any controversies like this. I don’t know why this happened to her,” her uncle, Suresh Singh, told The Associated Press on Wednesday.
The family of the victim, whose name was not revealed, called for stronger rape laws to prevent such attacks from happening again and demanded swift — and harsh — justice for woman’s assailants, Singh said.
“If the government can’t punish them, give the rapists to the people. The people will settle the scores with them,” he said.

2012 in review
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 8,300 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 14 years to get that many views.

The TRUTH!
I never touched her and I get the privilege of taking it to the grave with me. No matter what the statistics say, no matter who “thinks” they know best and no matter how many people hate me, I know the truth. I live with the comfort of knowing what’s real, while I also get a dose of Hell for maintaining my innocence.
I hear the anti-SO groups screaming bloody murder, but I don’t listen. I hear the advocates for sex offender reform screaming, but again I don’t listen. I hear my conscience and that’s all I need. The TRUTH!
My accuser earned the ghosts, ghouls and naysayers that she hears. It’s not a coincidence that the people involved with my case have met bad karma….It’s all their own fault. I will continue to live as peacefully as possible and I won’t be afraid of the crazy loons walking the street who swear vengeance. I know the key words: The TRUTH!
I’ve learned a lot from the hate that now permeates my life, but I refuse to let it ground me. I use the vile words I hear and turn them into poetry. I write what I know and I know what I write. Experience is King! I listen to my heart and my soul and it pours out of me like sand through the thinnest part of the hourglass. I write The TRUTH!
I’ve lost friends and gained enemies. I’ve lost love and gained hate. I’ve lost respect and gained contempt. I will not falter; I’ll learn. I’ll continue to learn that which makes the human spirit tick. I’ll continue to grow in that which others would wither and die. There’s no quit in my heart, only The TRUTH!
Do you know the TRUTH? Do you know who you are and what it is you do? Do you hate people without proof? Do you turn away from a warm heart because yours is so cold? If so, then do everyone a favor and look in the mirror….It couldn’t be clearer than in the reflection which stares back out at you. do yourself a favor and find The TRUTH!
The TRUTH hurts, but it shall also set you free. It did me!

His reputation is still besmirched
Okay, so the coach has been cleared of any wrongdoing for having pics of his after-bath children playing. It was obvious to everyone except the prosecutors that this was as innocent as it gets. The media and the courts have made a mockery of this case. That won’t be easy (maybe impossible) to recover from. Shame on our over-zealous, fear-driven do-gooders in our country. You have my support coach!
Coach cleared of child porn wants files sealed
The Associated Press
MANKATO, Minn. (AP) — A football coach at Minnesota State University, Mankato, who was cleared of child pornography charges last month that stemmed from videos found on his cellphone of his naked children clowning around after a bath, wants to keep the police investigative reports sealed.
Todd Hoffner has been taken off administrative leave, but hasn’t been reinstated as head coach and is facing a 20-day, unpaid school suspension in January for unspecified reasons.
Earlier this month, he asked for an injunction in an effort to keep the police reports private, after a Twin Cities television station asked to see them. Hoffner is seeking a temporary restraining order that would keep anyone from disseminating the investigative file.
District Court Judge Krista Jass ruled last week that the reports will remain private until they can be reviewed, The Free Press of Mankato reported (http://bit.ly/ZFYA0c).
Jass ordered prosecutors to gather all investigative reports and turn them over to Hoffner’s attorney, Jim Fleming. He’ll be allowed to file a sealed list of information that he believes should be kept from the public. After receiving Fleming’s list, Jass will decide what should remain sealed.
Fleming said in a court affidavit that releasing the information would harm Hoffner.
”Plaintiff Mr. Hoffner has an ongoing investigation relative to his employment as a head football coach at (MSU),” Fleming’s affidavit said. ”Release of private non-public data could irreparably harm (Hoffner) with respect to that investigation that a civil lawsuit for damages would not fully compensate.”
Hoffner was charged with possession of child porn in August after school officials found videos of his naked children on his work-issued cellphone, which he had turned in to be repaired. Jass dismissed the criminal charges last month after concluding that the short videos of his children acting silly after a bath were not child porn and showed nothing illegal.
Last week, the university said Hoffner was no longer on administrative leave but hadn’t reinstated him as coach. The university didn’t give reasons for the decision, citing data privacy laws. But the school did say in the statement it was still investigating a complaint against Hoffner. University officials didn’t elaborate.
Connie Howard, an attorney for the union representing Hoffner, told The Associated Press by email last week that Hoffner was being suspended without pay for 20 days starting Jan. 7. She didn’t give the reason for the suspension, but said the union is challenging it.
Fleming told the newspaper that he wants the information sealed to protect Hoffner’s privacy. Investigators went through computer files and took pictures of items in his house.
”We’re not hiding anything from anybody,” Fleming said.

New Author is Effective
Here’s the scoop….another new author with a flair for realism and shockingly vivid details. Her name is Melanie Drake and she’s a talented new star in the writing world. Her work is a breath of fresh air in what’s becoming a stagnant industry. I love it when a new writer comes out and not only writes well, but has a great personality to match. I reviewed her new book, “Reflections in a Broken Mirror” on Amazon and decided to give her some extra press by posting the work on my blog. She deserves it. I met her at a book show and Melanie expressed a real interest in learning and getting better at her craft. I’m including a link to her work on Amazon and a picture of the very attractive and talented woman. Keep an eye out folks……Here’s a few reviews from her work. (Please see her photo and book information at the bottom of this post.)
In reading this book I found much of my past. The author Mrs. Drake fought mental, emotional, and physical battles throughout her life. Her resilience allowed her to make it through trying circumstances, which many people could not make it through. She not only describes her personal hell she gives hope to those of us who are still struggling with demons from our past. This is a must read.-Sweetgee
Absolutely FANTASTIC book written by Ms. Drake!! Her story is both poignant and heart-breaking, witty and charming, and at times completely hysterical! Her honest reflections on dealing with past abuses, drug-induced manias, and learning how to forgive both her past and herself allows the reader to go on an incredible journey of self discovery. I’m normally not the type to enjoy personalized stories but Ms. Drake’s Reflections in a Broken Mirror is a memoir worth reading and sharing! Kudos to Ms. Drake on an amazing first book…I hope to read more from her in the future!!- MD Merrill
This is a page turner from the first page. Pointedly real and uncut. This book was tastefully been done, you can understand the trials and tribulations Ms. Drake has endured without all of the x rated story lines. Really makes you think about how many people out there have suffered the same or similar situations and how Ms. Drake was brave enough to put herself and her past out there to help others realize they are not alone. I feel Ms. Drake is an inspiration to all in dire situations. There is a light at the end of the tunnel and with the love of her wonderful husband and children she was able to make it. Incredible read! Can’t wait to read more from this author. Congratulations Ms. Drake you are a wonderful first time author. Keep them coming.-TS
This book grabs at you like a rattlesnake and refuses to let go. I felt like I was a fly on the wall as the author painted a vivid picture of a tumultuous young life. Mental illness, guns, drugs and sex are only the beginning as the main character acts out in incredibly destructive ways. It was a very tough read at times, but that’s what’s needed to bring out the realism expressed in this work. I would recommend this book, but be warned; it’s brutally honest and shockingly real.- Shaun Webb

More cops sexually abusing citizens
Are they kidding us with this crap? That is a flat-out sexual assault by the troopers. When are they going to face charges and be listed as registered sex offenders? Those women were not only violated, but they were violated with the same glove. The female trooper never changed her gloves and inserted fingers into both women’s vaginas and backsides.
Why is it that these cops, and others around the country are allowed to subject us citizens to such extreme measures of assault and violence? And right in front of any and everybody on the side of the road. I hope these women win their lawsuits and sue that department until they’re broke.
Innocent people are being put through too much stress and embarrassment by police, and they wonder why people act out violently against them. If they want our respect, shouldn’t they be giving it in return? By the way, the department’s official word is that nothing wrong or abnormal took place in that video. Really? It sounds like they’re protecting their law enforcement brothers and sisters to me.
Both of those cops should face criminal charges of sexual assault; and all over the fact that the Ranger smelled pot in the car? I found this video to be reprehensible, disgusting and I felt terrible for those two women. It makes me believe that I can be pulled over and have fingers shoved up my backside on a whim. What happens if you resist the search? I’m sure your thrown to the ground, charged with some kind of crime and then forced to submit to the cavity search.
Where does the line get drawn. A gun and a badge does NOT give anyone the right to violate another. Watch the video folks…..that’s flat-out sexual assault right before your eyes.

Another Miscarriage of Justice
Pyne found guilty of 2nd-degree murder in mother’s slaying
By Mike Martindale

Pyne )
Pontiac — An Oakland County Circuit Court jury on Tuesday found Highland Township resident Jeffrey Pyne guilty of second-degree murder in the May 27, 2011, slaying of his mentally ill mother.
Pyne, 22, a former Christian high school honor student taking biology classes at the University of Michigan, had been charged with first-degree murder in the violent death of Ruth Pyne, 51.
Jurors had the option of considering the lesser second-degree offense, which can carry any prison term up to life and a chance of parole. A first-degree conviction would have carried mandatory life in prison without parole.
The jury ofeight women and four men heard four weeks of testimony and evidence before beginning deliberations last Friday. Judge Leo Bowmansaid shortly before noon Tuesday that he hadreceived a verdict in thecase.
The victim’s bloody and battered body was found by her 10-year-old daughter and husband inside the garage of the home where they all lived. The charge carries mandatory life in prison without parole.
During the month-long trial, assistant prosecuting attorney John Skrzynski laid out what he described as “very good circumstantial evidence” that pointed to Pyne as the killer. Skrzynski said Pyne was angry over his mother’s behavior and felt trapped in the home due to fear of his sister’s safety and his father’s plans for divorce.
Defense attorney James Champion, who did not call any witnesses on Pyne’s behalf, told jurors there was no direct evidence linking his client to the death. Several supporters, including his father, Bernard Pyne, have sat in on the trial. His father told reporters he does not believe his son killed his wife.
Jeffrey Pyne, who sat stoically during the trial, did not testify — which is his right, Champion reminded jurors.
Champion’s suggestions to the jury that the slaying might be the work of an intruder or stranger were rebuffed by Skryzynski, who noted there were no signs of forced entry to the home, no ransacking, nothing of value missing and no signs of struggle.
Additionally, Skrzynski said, it was only about an hour after Pyne left the house that his mother’s body was found. Pyne was uncooperative with investigators and lied about his whereabouts, Skrzynski said.
Ruth Pyne was killed by multiple blows to the head with an object, believed to be a board and then stabbed numerous times in the neck. Oakland County Medical Examiner Ljubisa Dragovic testified the slaying was a “classic case of overkill” likely by someone who had some association with the victim.
Her blood was also found in the sink, an indication her killer took time to try and clean up, Skrzynski told jurors, something not to be expected of an intruder.
