Enough Killing Already!

This draws the line folks; Children….kids….innocent little ones gunned down not only because the man in Connecticut was crazy, but also because our Government doesn’t give the first s**t about the mentally ill.  From Michigan to California and from Washington to Miami, our governors and people “in charge” have decided that cutting health care costs for the mental health saves money.

So, money over people’s lives is what matters most to the spendthrifts that think they’re helping their states save a few bucks.  Young children were slaughtered in Connecticut because this man didn’t get the care of which he should have been entitled.  What a shame. Even the medical examiners; people who study death scenes for a living; were aghast and throttled by the sight they witnessed.

I was talking to somebody about the medical insurance/mental health coverage quandary and they said “You get 35 mental care visits a year covered by BC.” Really? 35 visits to a family therapist would’ve avoided this whole situation? I think not. This man needed mental health care in a ward.  Oh, stupid me; I forget the states have gotten rid of most of those hospitals to save some cash.  Saving cash over lives: Another smart move by our bumbling leaders.

2o children and 8 adults were slaughtered. They died violent deaths by the hand of a mentally ill man. The principle died trying to save children, and she’s a hero. The school psychologist died trying to save children, and she’s a hero. But, and I must say it, five year-old kids who had no idea what death was watched with curiosity as this man gunned them down. This doesn’t come close to matching the rest of the student body who also had no real concept of death. They will forever relive this in their young minds.

When is our government, state and other leaders going to figure out that cutting real mental health counseling is costing lives; not saving cash?  When are they going to figure out these few words: Columbine, Denver, Arizona, Oregon, and now Connecticut. That’s only a few people. There’s plenty more that don’t get as much press.

I’ve had enough! Are we going to have to worry about running to Kroger for bread and milk? Is it that we may get gunned down picking up a pizza from Little Caesars? Maybe you’ll just be driving down the road and some madman or woman will shoot you as you drive. Oh, I forgot, that’s happened too.

Do you get it Government leaders?  Buck up and start fixing this mess and quit worrying about where the next dollars are coming from…..

Yours truly, Disgusted

Casey Anthony revisited

Well, well, well. Casey Anthony goes out to dinner, gets spotted by the media and voila! The haters come out in force. I understand that many people feel that she got away with murder, but some of the unbridled hate I read in the comment section of this article is enough to make me sick.

In our country, I’ve learned one important thing:  If you’re found guilty, then you’re damn well guilty, but if you’re found innocent, then you’re damn well guilty. That’s no typo, it’s what I said.  People want her dead, tortured, raped, killed, hung, drawn and quartered and lynched. Why do people say these things? Are they better than anyone else?  Do they deserve the right to wish death on others?  I don’t think so.

Another point I find curious: “God will punish her when she dies.” Really? Our God punishes us? Our God puts us here on earth with free will and then punishes us when we make mistakes? The person who uttered that ignorant quote “knows” that Casey killed her daughter. Really? Were you there? I didn’t see you at the trial testifying that you “know” Casey committed the murder. Very interesting.

Our world is scary and cruel enough without blather coming from the mouths of the unknowing. All I know is that like it or not, she was found innocent. Now leave the woman alone. If she did the crime, she has to live with it. Would you like to know the funniest part? There is a chance she didn’t committ the crime. How does that grab ya?

Casey Anthony Spotted Dining at Florida Steakhouse

VIBEPosted December 13, 2012  http://www.vibe.com/article/Casey-Anthony-spotted-dining-at-Florida-steakhouse

It’s been over a year since anyone has spotted Casey Anthony in public.

After the troubled woman was acquitted for the death of her daughter in July of 2011, she quietly stayed out of the media spotlight. That changed when she ventured out to dinner last Friday night (Dec.7) at a Florida restaurant, according to RadarOnline.com.

RadarOnline Reports: Since the 26-year-old was sensationally acquitted of murdering Caylee Marie Anthony by a Florida jury, the only glimpses of her have been self made videos she has released talking about her new life – until this weekend.Casey had dinner at Flanigan’s Seafood Bar and Grill in Lake Worth, Fl. in Palm Beach County, and RadarOnline.com has seen a photo snapped by an eyewitness snapped on their cell phone; it shows Anthony sitting in a booth with a white beanie pulled down low over her long dark brown hair.

Gossip Extra was first to report on Casey’s dinner date and a well placed source, who did not wish to be identified, exclusively confirmed to RadarOnline.com that Casey was indeed in the restaurant on Friday, December 7 around 7 p.m.

“No one wants to be associated with Casey, it’s just such bad publicity,” the source said. “She was really quiet and not that many people were noticing it was her.”

In the photo Casey is seen sitting with a bald man who has not yet been identified, but Gossip Extra reported that a second man, who was not pictured, was also dining with them and they identified him as Pat McKenna, a West Palm Beach private detective who worked with Casey’s defense team.

Nobody said it would be easy

set-up picI love what I do: Writing stories for others to enjoy. I don’t, however, devote all of my time to writing.  There are many other responsibilities for an author who owns his own publishing company.  Here’s an example of a typical week for me:

I get up on Monday and start the marketing plan. I spread the word about my work to as many people as possible.  Emails, blogs, website maintenance and word of mouth.  I contact libraries, bookstores and anyone else who’ll allow me to come in and either speak or sit at a table and sell books.  After these tasks are completed, I work inside my new novel for 4 hours.  I limit myself to 4 hours per day because I’m meticulous about each paragraph and sentence being the way I want it to be.  After 4 hours, I’m exhausted.

The same process is repeated Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, if I have a show, I’m off to sell books. If I don’t have a show, I’m mapping out my plan for the next six months: This involves booking shows, organizing my plan for audiobooks and kindles to sell at the shows, and working with my agent/manager in seeing these things through. One day a week, I meet with my Editor/Reader to go over the book I’m working on.

On Saturday and Sunday, I do my shows in whatever town I’ve found and aggressively practice my sales pitch and smiling!!  My pitch is filled with positive adjectives, warm greetings, and invitations to have a look at my work.

On Monday, the whole cycle starts again. There are times when I become frustrated.  There are times when I’m giddy. Most of the time I keep an even keel, convincing myself and others that I have what it takes to be a very successful writer. I’m determined to be relevant in the writing world.

Staying disciplined with your nose to the grindstone is the key. I don’t just sit around waiting for things to happen. If I want success, I must make things happen myself.  I’m not beyond sitting outside a store or market or wherever passing out cards and flyers explaining what I do.  If I want to make it, I must sacrifice of myself.

I’ve always been an organized person and it pays off.  Some people write a book, throw it to Amazon or wherever, and rest on their laurels, thinking the money will fall from the sky. Not me!  I’m striving to make it better and better every week.  If I don’t bust my tail, nothing will happen.

I love what I do and can’t understand why I waited until my 40′s to start a serious run.  No matter, the best things in life are worth waiting for; and working for.  If you want writing to be your life, you’d better write more than one book and you’d better be determined.

They say the cream rises to the top….I hope it happens for me!  Nobody said it would be easy, and it isn’t. Like Tom Hanks said it himself in the movie A League of their Own…”It’s the hard that makes it good!” Agreed.

The making of “Behind the Brick” 12-6-12

So you’d like to write a full length novel?  You’ll get praise and attention and be rich, rich, rich?  You’ll be hailed as the next great literary hero?  I’m here to tell you that perhaps one day all your dreams will come true, but not without a huge amount of hard work, sweat and cramped fingers.  Only on a very rare occasion does success happen overnight, and the likelihood of your novel being the next great literary masterpiece are less than 1%.

I have been writing on “Behind the Brick” for six months and have 250 pages in the can…that’s about 57,000 + words.  The reason I have reached that point is because I write 5 or so chapters, re-read and re-write.  I won’t move on until I feel every sentence, paragraph and chapter are to my liking. I also spend most weekends on the road supporting my other books, so that too cuts into my writing time. I usually spend 2-4 hours a day on the work when I’m able to write.

Last night, 12-05-12, I was summoned by my reader/editor for some good old-fashioned, down-to-it talk about my book. She ripped my work a new one!! Why? Because she’s hired to do that. She want’s this work to be as good as it can be as much as I do and won’t tolerate pacing problems, editorial mistakes or unbelievable drivel. This is good and bad.  Good because it helps me see clearer where I need to make my corrections: But bad in that she cuts my baby down to size. If you want to write a novel properly, this is the price you pay.

I birthed this book out of my imagination and just when I think I have it; BAM, I don’t!! Trust me, I appreciate the constructive criticism and welcome her valued opinion. This doesn’t mean I scrap the whole book and start again.  There are some wonderful, magical things coming out of the work: I just need to fine tune them.  This is all a part of the process. I will re-read 1000′s of times before everything is just right.  My reader/editor will see to that!

I’m entrenched in a world that I’ve made. I’m struggling to find the right words in what has been my most difficult novel to write. The challenge feels like an obsession, as I try to be perfect in my “what-if” world. This is where a lot of my anxious energy is born. To properly write this or any fictional book, the “what-ifs” must be present. Oh, I’m able to differentiate between that which is fantasy and my real life, but I do think about it 23 hours a day. I ask myself “what can I do to make it better?” I wake up at 2 AM to write down ideas that come to me and I carry a pen and paper with me wherever I go.

So you want to write a novel and become famous? It’ll take a lot of work, patience, gnashing of the teeth and determination.  I’ll get this book right and when I do, I’ll feel great for about two weeks until I start outlining my next one. It’s what I do, it’s where I feel the most comfort. I’d often wondered what I wanted to do with my life….It took 40 years, but I finally found it. That doesn’t mean the work stops though….It means I get to work harder than I ever have at any job.  The great part is that, unlike a pointless job, I have work that means something and will be shared by whoever chooses to read me. If I don’t do it right, I lose readers and I lose my beloved craft.

obsessiveness, determination and anxious energy feed my craft and if I ever lose that edge, I’ll be finished. I feel that I love what I do too much for that to ever happen.  I’ll die at the keyboard…of writing and life!

Very nice “Your Honor.”

A Will County, Illinois judge was recently caught watching hardcore pornography on his courthouse computer. Seeing as he’s supposed to be a beacon of morality and justice, a few of his “hypocrite” co-workers, looking for a pat on the head, were bothered enough to blow some smoke up his ass. Facing harsh judgement and possible termination, Judge Joseph C. Polito, 69, put all his cards on the table. He admitted he’s addicted to porn.  Addicted to porn?  Maybe he just wanted to masturbate while he was sentencing people to jail.

Fighting back tears (Spare me the dramatics), Polito admitted he has been addicted to porn since the age of 9 (Liar) – approximately 60 years ago. I’m not sure what kind of porn a 9 year-old could access back in 1952, but I think it’s safe to assume it was very little (A lie) and his problem has only gotten worse in the last 10 years. He acknowledged that he didn’t uphold the high standards someone of his prestige should (Really) and expressed shame over the whole experience (A lot like the people he throws in prison). Regarding his 60 year battle with addiction, his honor said “ I used pornography as a crutch to deal with my feelings of inadequacy.” That’s pretty intense, although I think he just used it to masturbate.

Polito apologized to his wife, three children and his fellow judges for his poor choice in internet browsing (of course he did, like many poor prisoners), but stated that his lust for hardcore porn in no way affected the hundreds of decisions he has made over his otherwise “commendable” judicial career. (I’m going to vomit soon) I’m not inclined to agree with him. Doing anything in excess is dangerous in one way or another and Polito put away a lot of “sex offenders.”  He was doing something a bunch of judges and lawyers thought was in bad taste (And that they do themselves:  Betcha.)

He broke the rules and must face the consequences (Karma).  For his sake, and I would imagine it will be the case, he’s good enough at law to interpret the rules in his favor so he can return to helping make Will County a better place.  Maybe he’ll do all of his Porn browsing at home, or in the work bathroom with his smartphone.  (That’s the judge people should rely on!!)

It seems to me that Judges, Prosecutors and Cops can do pretty much anything they want and get away with it because of their “connections” or standing within the community.  It’s a shame because so many others that do the same thing go to jail, arrested and imprisoned by these exact people!….Enough said.

Amazon rankings

The following are my rankings on Amazon. I’m showing this as an incentive to other author’s wishing to climb the ladder of success. You must get out there and bring attention to yourself.  If anyone thinks I’m being conceited (Some do) or stuck on myself, it’s just the opposite. I’m trying to show that hard work and determination will get you what you want. All rankings are out of app. 5,000,000 authors. Rankings change often, but are generally accurate.

A terrible sentence…

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/11/29/alabama-fan-gets-2-years-in-prison-for-obscenity-during-bcs-celebration/

The Alabama fan that placed his genitals on the passed out LSU fan a few months ago was sentenced to 2 years jail and is forced to register as a sex offender. I don’t for one second believe this incident warrants a sex offender rap.  Why?  because he was being stupid and did a stupid thing, but will be labled and assumed to be a PREDATOR!! Is he a predator? Hell no: He’s just some asshole that did a dumb thing.

The Government has lost control of the list. The registry brings in cold, hard cash to people like Lunsford, Walsh and Grace. They continue to water it down with stupid convictions like the one here. How many times have you gone to a concert and rubbed close to someone else, even though you didn’t really mean it? Many times…Don’t say you don’t….you’d be lying.

Soon the registry will be so watered down, it won’t matter anymore….I say good. This list should only be for dangerous people who rape and abuse children on purpose. Not dumb drunks who placed their dick on some passed out dudes head. It’s also not for public urination. When you look on the registry and see (4th degree CSC, victim 13-16) you automatically believe a kid was raped when the fact of the matter is that they saw  his penis while he peed. It’s obnoxious.

It’s to the point where anyone can say anything about anyone, no matter when, where, what or why and it sticks like glue.  It doesn’t even matter if the “victim” says it happened 455 years ago…you’re going to jail.

Now some people say “What if it was a female he did this to?” Well, it wasn’t, but if it was, it still doesn’t constitute a sex offense.  When you go Mardi Gras and a woman whips out her tits and rubs them against you, is that a sex offense? Is that abuse? Is that a horrible sex crime? I hope you get my point.

This kid’s life is ruined. A college degree down the drain.  What a shame. Shame on the Judge and prosecutors who made more $$$ for their state by adding another name to the list.  When are we going to say “enough’s enough?”  Never…why? Because they’ll throw our asses in jail.

A think the penalty was harsh!

Please, please…Don’t drink and drive

This is another case of drinking and driving causing the death of another human being.  What makes this more intense for me is that I know the family of the 17 yr-old who was drinking and caused the death of another person.  The woman killed was a 38 yr-old mother of two teen-agers.

It make me sick to the core. I have a 17 yr-old daughter who was friends with this 17 yr-old.  I have instilled in my daughter just how fast entire lives can be completely ruined. The lives of the drunk-driving 17 yr-old, her family and the family of the victim are all changed forever.

The young girl will face up to 20 years in prison, her family will face scrutiny and in a case like this, nobody wins. I would like to send my deepest condolences to the family of the mother who was killed.  A waste of life…..in more ways than one.

Milford woman dies in head-on collision early Saturday morning

By DUSTIN BLITCHOK Of The Oakland Press

A 38-year-old Milford woman was pronounced dead on the scene after a head-on collision early Saturday morning on Milford Road.

At about 5:39 a.m. Saturday, Milford police and firefighters responded to a 911 call for a two-vehicle accident on Milford Road south of General Motors Road.

The driver of the other car, a 17-year-old White Lake Township woman, was taken to Botsford Hospital with “non-life threatening orthopedic injuries,” according to a statement by Milford Police Chief Thomas Lindberg.

Milford Road was closed for several hours after the fatal accident.

“There was dense fog throughout the region at the time of the crash and alcohol is suspected to have been a factor,” Lindberg said.

The cause of the accident is under investigation by the Milford Police Department and the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office accident investigation team. An autopsy will be performed on the 38-year-old woman who died in the crash.

Former DPD officer under investigation for child sex crimes

Officer Andre Pino resigned five days after the Denver Police Department’s Internal Affairs Bureau started investigating him for alleged criminal solicitation to commit sexual assault on a child, enticement of a child and sexual exploitation of a child.

The investigation into Pino is still ongoing, Mary Dulacki, Denver Manager of Safety Records Coordinator told 9Wants to Know Wednesday afternoon.

Court documents reviewed by 9NEWS say Pino’s girlfriend suspected Pino of cheating on her. After she dropped him off at the airport, she went back to his house and searched his computer for evidence.

Court documents show she claims she found online chat conversations on Pino’s computer. She described them as “horrific chat conversations.” Then she downloaded the conversations to a removable drive and gave that drive to investigators.

Court documents detail alleged conversations between chatters in April and May of 2011 and April of 2012. Pino’s girlfriend said he used the chat name caphillfun1979.

In one chat, Pino allegedly asked a woman who was baby sitting her five-year-old nephew to perform a sex act on her nephew.

Court documents say the conversation continued:

caphillfun1979: turn on your web cam so i can watch sexymommy311980(removed by 9NEWS): OK caphillfun1979: how old is your niece sexymommy311980(removed by 9NEWS): One is 3 and one 7 caphillfun1979: you watch them both?

Four other conversations are detailed in court documents.

In one of those additional conversations, caphillfun1979 offered to sell a chatter, using the name tgirl_starlet, “coke” if she performs a sex act on him, according to court documents.

In another conversation with same screen name, tgirl_starlet thanks caphillfun1979 for something.

tgirl_starlet: thanks for that stuff, it was soooo good caphillfun1979: no problem….you can make it up to me by finally introducing me to your friend

A person who identified himself as Pino, when reached by 9NEWS via text message, denied the allegations.

“It’s not legit,” the person who said he was Pino told 9Wants to Know.

Officers with the internal affairs bureau are waiting on evidence that has been requested, to see whether to open a criminal case, Dulacki said.

If a criminal case is opened, another law enforcement agency could be asked to investigate, she said.

Pino worked as a patrol officer in district 6 before resigning Oct. 24, Dulacki said. He started with the department in 2005.

Back off…Overzealous prosecutors

Want to know what this article is about? It’s about a man that videotaped his children dancing after a bath. No abuse, no sexual deviance, nothing. The coach turned his phone into the University to be repaired and the whiz on the other side of the counter decided he should report the vid. Now he’s arrested and the punk-ass prosecutors say he had sexual gratification from the vid…..BULLSHIT!  Drop the charges and let this man live his life. He was having fun with his tiny children and meant no sexual anything from the vid. BTW, Nice job phone-guy!  You must be proud of yourself for being the “hero.” Truth is, you ruined this man’s life. I hope someone does the same for you some day. Asshole.

Minnesota State head coach arrested on suspicion of child pornography

by Graham Watson

http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaaf-dr-saturday/minnesota-state-head-coach-arrested-suspicion-child-pornography-181026905–ncaaf.html

After Jerry Sandusky’s sexual misdeeds came to light, the thought of child sexual abuse striking another college football team seemed almost unfathomable, but on Tuesday, Minnesota State coach Todd Hoffner was booked into Blue Earth County jail on suspicion of using underage people in a sexual performance and possession of child pornography.

Hoffner, 46, had originally been escorted off the Mavericks’ practice field Friday and had been on paid administrative leave.

“The University is not aware of any allegations affecting university students or program participants,” university spokesman Dan Benson said in the statement.

(Mankato Free Press)An investigation into the charges has begun by the Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Department, but they did not disclose what has turned up or when they’ll file formal charges.

“We began investigating yesterday,” Blue Earth County Sheriff’s Department Capt. Rich Murry told the Mankato Free Press. “Based on information from our initial investigation we executed a search warrant at his residence Monday morning.”

According to Carol Stallkamp, Minnesota State Mankato data practices coordinator and assistant to MSU President Richard Davenport, two complaints have been filed against Hoffner since he arrived at the university in 2008 – one personnel complaint was closed with no disciplinary action and another complaint is pending.

Associate head coach/offensive coordinator Aaron Keen, who has been running the football program since last Friday, spoke briefly to the media and said he was shocked by the allegations against Hoffner, who has a wife and three children. He said he would address the team about the situation Wednesday morning.

“I don’t think anybody ever really expects anything like this,” he said.
