Friday Recipe: Antipasto Sausage Skewers

I'm on a healthy kick. It's a new year thing, though I am trying to eat healthier in general. Even gave up soda! That lasted 3 days (it was a weekend). Still, the healthier I eat the more I can indulge in junk, right? There must be logic in that someplace. Still, I found this while looking around Food Network's site under their healthy appetizers. Not a fan of artichoke hearts (which I'm sure is what makes this healthy!) but other than that this is delicious.

Cheryl Douglas takes us to Nashville

AUTHOR Bio and Links:

[image error] Cheryl began her professional career as a nutritionist, but her love of books started at an early age. She studied writing for many years before she decided to pursue her passion as a full-time career. After receiving constructive criticism from several well-known authors, Cheryl finally had the confidence to write her first romance novel.
The first book in the Nashville Nights series, Shameless, was a book that had been dwelling in Cheryl’s subconscious for years. For he...

Wednesday Regency: An Admiral's Death

Admiral Horatio Lord Nelson (Horatio Nelson, 1st Viscount Nelson, 1st Duke of Bronté) he actually died in October of 1805 at the Battle of Trafalgar, but January 9, 1806 was the date of his state funeral. Bold, often disregarding his superiors orders, Nelson has become a myth since Trafalgar where he (OK and every other sailor there!) saved Britain from Napoleon. Before the battle, Nelson sent out the famous signal to his fleet 'England expects that every man will do his duty'.

And, of...

Cursed Love: A Wicked Demon Story

I've been editing this story one last time. I know, I finished it in, what, November? But between the holidays, other writing projects, and well, lack of time, it's taken me this long to get back to it.

I really enjoyed writing Nikki and Cooper's story and plan to do at least one, hopefully two more books to chronicle their story. For now, I want to make sure that Nikki's emotion really comes off the page and that Cooper's fear for and protectiveness over her grips the reader.

With luck, Cursed...

Downton Abbey

It starts tonight! Who else is mega excited?

[image error] Shows those fools that claim otherwise that the historical drama isn't dead! Ha, just try to dismiss the sweeping historical romance. Authors from Jane Austen to Georgette to Kristabel Reed *wink* know the appeal of this setting. Who can't imagine themselves the lady of so grand a manner? And, yes, okay, all the drama that goes with it.

Christine Young and a very inconvenient marriage

About Christine:

New year thoughts

Why are resolutions made during the coldest, darkest month of the year? Alas, I'm not immune to this resolutoin making/life changing thing. But my (not unique) motto is all things in moderation. Slow and steady and all that. Right?

How's everyone doing with their own resolutions? What? Day 1 is easy, Day 2...not so much!

On a separate note, January is:
National Mentoring Month
National Glaucoma Awareness
Cervical Health Awareness Month
National Blood Donor Month
Thyroid Awareness Month
Birth Def...
