Year of the Witch by Temperance Alden
"Edit: I'm removing a star to make my rating more honest. After mulling it over and going through the book again, I do struggle to find enough redeeming qualities to make this a 3-star read.

A huge thank you to Weiser for sending me a copy of this book" Read more of this review »

"Must-read for any serious novelests

I’ve loved all of Weiland’s books for years now, and this one is particularly incredible. She does such an incredible job at distilling complicated concepts into examples and action points. I’ve taken detailed notes" Read more of this review »

Shel Silverstein
“Listen to the mustn'ts, child. Listen to the don'ts. Listen to the shouldn'ts, the impossibles, the won'ts. Listen to the never haves, then listen close to me... Anything can happen, child. Anything can be.”
Shel Silverstein

Ezra Taft Benson
“You cannot do wrong and feel right. It is impossible!”
Ezra Taft Benson

“If it’s danger you seek you can go to war, blow the whistle on someone powerful, piss off someone unhinged, walk in a field during a lightning storm, tease a rattlesnake, or lose yourself in the right embrace. Some people live for it, others suffer in spite of it.”
Donna Lynn Hope

Lee Smith
“Myself I love a thunderstorm better than anything. Sometimes I will run to the top of the hill to whirl around and around on my Indian Rock in the wind, it is like a dance I can not stop. The smell of the lightning goes into your nose and down your whole body. Old Bess says if you get hit by lightning yet live you will have special powers, well I could use some of those. So I don't care if I get hit or not.”
Lee Smith, On Agate Hill

Terence Hi Morgyn,

Thanks for the friend request. I have to admit I don't even remember We Ride the Storm well outside of the title. It's been a few years and nothing was all that unique or memorable. I'm glad my review was a winner for you. I always hope they'll be helpful to someone.
