If we were having Coffee, I’d tell you…life is on the move.

Busy ~ Busy ~ Busy

Oh my, I looked at my site the other day and realized that time has passed since my last post. I missed a whole month. I don’t know how that happened. It‘s not that the homework has been super challenging, just lots of reading and thinking. Today was the last day of Third Term.

We got this!

Term 3 courses were Human Relations and Social Psychology. They are more related than one would think. They are both about understanding people and why they do the things they do and ho...

Let’s Chat over a cup of Coffee

It’s been a while since we last met which was way back in November. Since then I have read a couple of books. One book opened a door of learning to appreciate my coworkers and the other about the benefits of Stress. Usually, I prefer to read fiction like that of fantasy, mystery, sci-fiction, or romance but I’ve found these books on business informative.

Christmas and the Holidays ha...

Valued Blog Post of the Week! #Fairness

Valued Blog Post of the Week!

I’m giving myself a writing challenge for the next three months. I will pick a personal value as part of a writing exercise as an experiment to see how the topic affects my daily stress level.

My stress level is still well in check even though I have missed my valued Blog Post of the week. I guess you could say I was having trouble picking my next value.

Friday write-in

Book of the Month for January 2018

I just finished up a book that was bubbling to the top of my to-read pile as the Holidays passed by me at warp speed. The subject of stress does occupy many minds during the winter months and the up and coming income tax season. But as I began reading the following book I found that this book is a welcome read for any time of the year since stress comes in many forms.

Have Americans Gone too far with Christmas Lights? #Christmaslightwars

I used to look forward to driving home from Grandma’s House at Christmas time when I was a child, to be able to see all the pretty Christmas decorations and lights on our way back home. I remember oohing and gaping every time we passed another decorated house. Nowadays, the homes are a hit or miss. They are either undecorated because no one can afford the light bill or they are over decorated and look gaudy awful...

Farfetched Story Sounds Familiar

Someone has been reading my short stories or so it appears.

An article was posted in the Facebook news feeds and I had to go and check it out. The story does sound a bit farfetched but hey, I suggested this in my short story that I wrote years ago, Bed Bug Ridden.

Apparently, some woman decided to burn down her house because of a bad infestation of bed bugs. I wrote Bed Bug Ridden back around 2010 as a short story and you can read it in my Time Pieces Collection which has stories that a...

Ventura Inferno

California winds are at it again only this year, with all that rain they received the vegetation took off resembling the wildfire that is now devouring the state.

Residents are forced to flee a fire that is burning out of control while Firefighters battle the blaze that won’t go out anytime soon. The fire has claimed several racehorses and over 4 thousand acres of land in a short amount of time. People are being told to “get out” leave before the blaze reaches their neighborhood.

That’s...
