Some quick facial paintings of Persephone pre-Hades...

enveniya:

Some quick facial paintings of Persephone pre-Hades and post-Hades based off on Receiver of Many. I should have done this first but I kinda got carried away with the Intertwined piece *cough* If I have more time, I’ll do a nicer render, but I think these are finished enough for my reference. Persephone’s eyes aren’t constantly on fire from Tartarus, but it was a nice contrast to the pre-Hades image.

This was a good study in understanding how people change, and it was great fun to play around with features. The key part? Eyebrows and eye makeup, haha. The skin on post-Hades Persephone is a little more blue, because she spends less time in the sun now, and I would imagine her skin would pale in the darkness.

Maas Withdrawal Book Recommendations #33: “Receiver of Many” by Rachel Alexander

rhysand-vs-rowan:

For previous book recommendations, search the tag “Book Recommendations”!

Overview:

Persephone’s life has been one of leisure among the verdant fields: the maiden of flowers, sheltered by her mother, the Harvest Goddess Demeter. Now she is a woman, a goddess in her own right, yearning for freedom— even as the terms of an ancient pact are about to come due.

Hades’s life has been one of solitude in the somber land of the dead: the God of the Underworld, he lives without attachments, eternally governing the souls of mortals. But he dreams of the young goddess who was promised to be his wife, and knows it is time for his Kingdom to have a Queen.

When Hades arrives to claim his betrothed, he finds a young goddess eager to unearth her divine potential— and a powerful mother unwilling to let go. Receiver of Many begins an erotic story of passion and possession, duty and desire, and a struggle that threatens both ancient Greece and the Realm of the Dead itself.

I keep seeing posts about 'Reciver of Many', but I've never read it before! Would you mind sending me the links to it?

On the front of my blog, there are two where to buy links. One for Receiver of Many, and one for Destroyer of Light. If you go through those, they will bring you to a page that clusters all the places where they can be purchased. As new places to by my book are added all the time, it’s become the easiest way for me to organize those links.

Hey Kata, how come the Olympians need worshippers to survive but the Chthonics don't?

This will be answered in subsequent books.
