Did you have a playlist while writing your books? I need a Receiver of Many playlist for my phone:)

I actually published an abridged playlist (my real playlist is about 8 or 9 hours of instrumental music. Here you go!

“So many questions. You are full to overflowing, poor child. I have answers for you,” she said, opening her eyes and lifting them to meet Persephone’s. “You are in the Palace of Hades. I am Hecate. Aidoneus asked me to watch over you. Those answers come in a good order, I hope?”

Hihi. I just wanted to ask what inspired you to write Hecate and thanatos' relationship the way you did? And could you please describe their relationship a bit more in detail. They fascinated me in Rom

Thanks for the question :D

I liked the idea of setting up their relationship two conflicting forces, one of life, magic, and fortelling or attempting to bend the inevitable (Hecate) versus the definition of inevitability itself (Thanatos).  Since they both acted as counsel Aidoneus and later Persephone, I thought that might also add to the conflict between them.  It wouldn’t have made for good story telling if they had always agreed on everything.

I also purposefully wrote Thanatos as a bit of a sexy bastard (it would have been boring as hell to have an Underworld exclusively populated only by wise, staid beings), and since Hecate is a perpetual virgin in mythology, it seemed like the perfect set up for unresolved sexual tension between them.

But just as a spoiler note, that’s all it will ever be.  I don’t plan on having them hook up in any capacity in the future, though you will see their interactions change and mature as time goes on.

I got it!! A bronze, hand-crafted pendant of Hecate’s Wheel, from the workshop of Steve Cousins. The photo doesn’t do it justice. It is simply beautiful! (Yes, that’s me holding it.)

You can get it here: (x)

wouldn't it be cool to have multiple actresses for Aphrodite, and they all switched out with each other depending on whose perspective it was?

That’s actually the idea. I thought it would be fun to have “default” Aphrodite be the one Persephone sees (since we view most of the series through her eyes) then have all these awesome and varied representations of female beauty portraying all the other aspects of her as she appears to specific people.
