Hihi. I just wanted to ask what inspired you to write Hecate and thanatos' relationship the way you did? And could you please describe their relationship a bit more in detail. They fascinated me in Rom

Thanks for the question :D

I liked the idea of setting up their relationship two conflicting forces, one of life, magic, and fortelling or attempting to bend the inevitable (Hecate) versus the definition of inevitability itself (Thanatos).  Since they both acted as counsel Aidoneus and later Persephone, I thought that might also add to the conflict between them.  It wouldn’t have made for good story telling if they had always agreed on everything.

I also purposefully wrote Thanatos as a bit of a sexy bastard (it would have been boring as hell to have an Underworld exclusively populated only by wise, staid beings), and since Hecate is a perpetual virgin in mythology, it seemed like the perfect set up for unresolved sexual tension between them.

But just as a spoiler note, that’s all it will ever be.  I don’t plan on having them hook up in any capacity in the future, though you will see their interactions change and mature as time goes on.
