I've always imagined Persephone as a black woman, in part because I always felt like she had thick curly hair that would look gorgeous while she's playing the part of the maiden.
In my books or in general?
Because I tell you… I really enjoyed 100DON and her depiction there. I just wish the comic had gone on longer.
Rachel, please take care of yourself. I hope you are doing better! Get lots of rest and feel better! Xxx
Oh, don’t worry, I am. Following doctor’s orders. Bedrest for 3 days, and liquids only for the first 24 hours.
Hey, I managed to keep down an child size box of apple juice, so… improvement?

Had to go to the hospital today after a really severe case of food poisoning. 4 Litres of saline solution later and at least I’m not dead.
Do you have “age ranges” for characters? Because I thought Demeter was supposed to look in her 30’s, as well as the older gods (Hades ect) and everyone’s suggestions are of older actors in their 50’s. I also thought Persephone was supposed to look like 20
I definitely do!!
When I was putting the show bible together, I defined age ranges for each character, general appearance (height, weight, etc. and other details that may or may not get fleshed out in a TV show.
For instance… if a Hades comes along that looks very little like the Hades I’ve had in my mind this whole time but the actor’s charisma, voice, and performance absolutely floor me, then I would go with that actor. Makeup, lighting, and setting will take care of the rest.
That said, here’s the show bible’s rough outlined ages for all the principle characters.
Persephone: 19-25
Aidoneus: 38-40
Demeter: 35-40
Hecate: 7 / 28 / 65
Sisyphus: 40-45
Zeus: 45
Minthe: 22-28
Thanatos & Hypnos: 25-27
Merope: 30-33
Metaneira: 50-65
Celeus: 65-75
Triptolemus: 22-25
Eumolpus: 27-30
Hermes: 18-20
Athena: 25-28
Ares: 30-35
Aphrodite: 30-35
Nyx: 25-30
Charon: 50-70
Askalaphos: 40-45
Menoetes: 55-65
