Hey Rachel hope the pitch went well today!
Thank you!!
I absolutely hate going on camera for any reason at all, don’t really have the ability to improvise on the spot and eventually had to come up with a script.
It was prerecorded, so I’ll only know how it went at a later date.

Wrote half of a new scene with Persephone and Hera so that means I’m feeling better, I suppose. Thank you everyone for your well wishes as I vow never to eat romaine lettuce again.
It'll be a like a year before we can read the rest of the good counselor won't it
Probably. I’m writing at a breakneck pace, but even at that, it’s going to be a long long writing and emotional roller coaster before it comes out.

Just wanted to say that I enjoyed the previews of The Good Counselor very much. I'm delighted that your story will include not just Orpheus the musician (that most of us know), but also Orpheus the mystic and all that interesting, confusing mess that is Or
Thank you so much!!!! Coming from you, that’s very high praise.
It’s been a difficult road combining Orphism with Orpheus himself. I am so happy I got access to a museum exhibit featuring three gold scrolls that were quickly etched, all featuring spelling errors, each aroud the size of a human tongue, each relating back to Orphic beliefs. The Underworld exhibit also featured a HUGE burial krater from a museum in Napoli.
I got to take a tour with the exhibit’s curator, who hadn’t published an exhibition catalogue because he’s in the middle of writing a book all about Orphic beliefs and some of their loose connections to Eleusis.
I’ll publish the whole photographed exhibit soon but a shitty surgery recovery and now a bout with food poisoning (that had me hospitalized yesterday) have sapped me of all my energy and brain cells.
But I am so, so happy you enjoyed The Good Counselor. To me, it didn’t make sense to make Orpheus a cocky, later lovelorn rockstar. He seemed more mystic than hero to me. And someone whose faith, at least for now, is unshakeable.
