I craft lyrical and uplifting fantasy tales that empower children and teens to embrace their unique selves. My stories explore themes of self-acceptance, resilience, and the beauty of unexpected friendships, guiding readers on journeys of discovery where they find the courage to be who they truly are. With every word, I seek to ignite wonder, inspire confidence, and remind young hearts that they are powerful, worthy, and limitless.

Discover the Laéth Realm Adventures and its prequel series, the Miadien Chronicles—two spellbinding fantasy series where fairy tales aren’t just stories but magical gifts of peace from a hidden realm to our own. Perfect for fans of epic adventures, mythical worlds, and tales that inspire.

We Should Not Have to Defend Ourselves as Valuable

I write books that empower girls to embrace their unique traits, to cultivate their talents and to become comfortable and secure in their bodies. Anna, my sixteen-year-old protagonist in my debut young adult novel, Little Red Wraith, struggles with not having the same abilities as those around her. She lives in a world of shapeshifters but is unable to transform. She says, “I tell myself that it’s Read more of this blog post »

Diana I just barely sent you an email! We really are kindred spirits, aren't we? : ) I'm struggling with 'Crime and Punishment' and have temporarily put it aside to concentrate on Eliot and Levy (which I am thoroughly enjoying by the way). My problem with reading Dostoevsky is this: foreign texts, no matter how well translated, never read with the same flow and rhythm of books in their original language. The characters and plot are interesting enough, but I think I would need to read and speak Russian to fully appreciate the art of Dostoevsky's writing, which I unfortunately don't...damn. How are you finding Pullman? I loved 'The Golden Compass' and was not put off by its atheism. I think it's incredibly narrow-minded to reject a great book on that basis alone. Pathetic. Hope you're well and I'll speak to you soon. Much love xxxxx

Diana I know, it's absolutely beautiful, isn't it? Thanks for reminding me of that quote, it's one I had forgotten, seeing how I've only read the novel once and that was seven years ago. I have two favourite bits. The first: 'The man is made of stone who can see a woman in her tears and keep voice and hands to himself.' My other favourite is his lengthy quote on kissing, it's brilliant. I think it begins with, 'It is strange, and yet not strange, is the kiss...' Anyhoo, sorry I have taken a fair bit of time writing you an email. I have to complete my reading of 'Villette' by Friday and I still have 100 pages left. However, I am on track to finish it before class. I will compose a reply this weekend with more comments on your writing (I like your revisions by the way). I hope you don't mind, but I allowed to Steve to have a peek at your first chapter and he responded to it with, 'It's obvious she knows what she's doing and can write well.' He also wants me to enquire whether or not you have read any of the 'Forgotten Realms' novels? Wow, this is a comment in length reminiscent of a Dickens novel. I'll wrap it up now. Speak to you soon. Much love xxxxx
