They were only disappointed the first month or so. But they're pretty progressive, and me having a living nailed down and being happy with my life is more important to them than anything.

It does occasionally get a bit awkward when they discuss what I'm doing with all my crazy religious relatives, though. "He makes a living off comics. The end"

Yes, you do. For cases like this, I always suggest people go for the 6 or 12 month deals, since they waive that 1st-month-fee and are cheaper overall. They're pretty much intended for people who know the site enough to know they'd like to subscribe that long.

It started simply 'cause I was 17 and drawing naked anime girls all the time was a fun thing to do. I don't entirely remember exactly what made me go as far as to try doing porn comics, but once I did, they were among the first stories of mine to be published professionally. This is because at the time, the editor of the porn anthologies at Antarctic Press was Shon Howell, and bless his oily black heart, he did not have an eye for quality because he thought my stories were passable. Nevertheless, it provided further encouragement, and I am quite thankful.

This led to me doing my Polyp the Hunter comics for Radio Comix, followed by creating Slipshine and then Doctor V. Somewhere down the line, I actually learned how to draw porn.

It's only in our teens and whatnot that it happens for absolutely no reason. After that, as long as we don't think about vaginas in public we're fine.
