A drawing of Cheezy Weapon'z stingray girl Rachel!
This is...

A drawing of Cheezy Weapon'z stingray girl Rachel!

This is actually one of the requests, but it's not all that porny, so maybe I'll only count it as 1/2 of one. Still 7 and 1/2 to go.

Cheezy's characters are interesting enough that it's fun to draw them just standing around and stuff.

DOCTOR V THE COMMENTARY PART… I forget. 3? or four?
Back...

DOCTOR V THE COMMENTARY PART… I forget. 3? or four?

Back to doing the Doctor V reformats after quite a few days of having to do other things!

I think this page has tested my self-imposed "don't change the artwork" rule more than any other so far!

I mean, it really bugs me how Jennifer is leaping toward Doctor V in that one panel, and then suddenly she isn't!

There is no justification for this. It really can't be argued that the security guy startled her into terminating her jump and landing early because, really, if she were THAT startled, she would probably fall forward on her face or something instead of just landing perfectly on her feet.

Did it really not occur to me that she could be grabbed mid-jump? Did I really not know how to draw such a thing?

Auuuuugh this page is terrible, TERRIBLE. anyway, gonna reformat another one tomorrow. Actually more than one… hopefully at least three. I really need to get the ball rolling on this so I can start doing actual updates.

ALL CAUGHT UP

Yeah, after I drew that last pornquest I figured it was about time I got caught up already, so I clicked through about 1500 pages.

It'll be nice to know what everyone's talking about again!

Is there a deadline for the open call?

Probably would help to know that, huh? I'd rather not rush this, so it'll be a month… so until July 15

Are you only interested in accepting artists, or would you be interested in a script only?

Typically comic companies require that the writer find an artist to team up with if they can't do the art themselves, and vice versa. That be the case here as well.

This page is from Dungeons & Dongs, the first 100% Pure Beef...

This page is from Dungeons & Dongs, the first 100% Pure Beef story on Slipshine. I drew it and Woc wrote and colored it. It was pretty fun and I may talk about it more sometime, but mainly I'd like to mention how the 100% Pure Beef series was always intended a part of Slipshine that would provide gay/yaoi stories on a regular basis, eventually once a month. Unfortunately it was set up so it could have contributions from artists already on Slipshine's staff. And as much as we were eager to give it a whirl, there's only so much time to do it what with all the comics we're already doing and all the other stuff going on in our lives. Thus, it's remained an irregularly-updating series to this day.

Anyway, what I'm getting at is that in order to make regular updates more of a reality,

Slipshine is having an open call for submissions for the first time ever.

This call is exclusively for gay comics, so if this is something you'd like to do, please come forward! I would like to hire two artists to do a bimonthly series, so the workload would be exactly 10 pages every 2 months.

Pitches can be done in various forms… comic samples, art portfolios, webcomic links, dA links, and many other things… just so long as they display these 2 important elements: sequential art skills, and anatomy skills.

As for story ideas, feel free to mention them, Slipshine features both long-form epics and collections where the artists post a short story with each update, so both are acceptable. And for those not entirely familiar with Slipshine, the one rule we got is that they be positive, and remind the world of how fun sex can be.

Well, there's other rules too, but they're mostly the common sense ones.

As to where to submit your work, that would be my email. Right here.

Good luck to all participants!

All that pornos I posted over the weekend, and I forget to update the Slipshine blog. :o

I also need to put this blog on the site already.

Tim's comics are great, by the way!
