What's on YOUR Bookshelf?

I've got a ton of books, both read and waiting to be.  Just curious to see pics of everyone else's bookshelf.  I have a lot more on my 3rd and 4th shelves, but this is all I could get in one pic.

Yo Mama

In "The Golden Ones" one of the ideas I'm exploring is something that happens to me on a decent basis.  Ever since a certain family member of mine passed away (I'm intentionally being vague) I tend to see that person still.  Either all or in part; the back of a hand, the set of the eyes, the skin tone, the pursing of the lips--I've seen every aspect of this person and it's creepy in a way I can't quite explain.  I'm hoping I can bring that to the text.

A New Monster

I need a monster. A really good one, the kind that lasts well after the last page is read. A monster that can be generalized and ripped off for generations, like werewolves and vampires.

I'd even take a monster like a Freddy or a Jason. With more than a dozen sequels between the two of them spanning at least 4 decades, a remake apiece and a mash-up between the two of them both have a long set of legs. So I guess that's the other thing my monster needs: repeatability.

Found on Goodreads.com, if it can be believed, "The Ghost Toucher" is tentative to be released 8/28/10.  Regardless, I hope you all register on the site and add TGT to your list of books!

The Safest Place in the Midst of a Zombie Apocalypse...

I've actually put some thought into this for some reason.

I don't know about geographical location, but when you're backed against a wall (literally) the best place to be would be the roof of a house. Zombies are slow and lumbering, not known for good balance. Simply climb up there with nothing more than a stick and you can easily pick them off.

Of course a roof causes problems for the living in that your 'locked in'. Zombies tend to zoom in on areas of high activity and what's you're on...

Got My ISBN

It's feeling even more real now.  I'm going to see if I can get listed on GoodReads with this.  And welcome new member Blues!  I'm glad you came.
