Skit Today

In case you were wondering:

Still wild. Still in the garage. She loves Oscar and is good company for him, and he for her. The vet notched her ear tip, so that if she'd ever captured by animal control, they'll know she's spayed.

The Last Nightrunner Book

Yes, folks, this week I start work on what will be the seventh and last Nightrunner book. As excited as I am about going in some new directions, it makes me sad, too. I've known Alec and Seregil longer than I have my kids. They've been a part of our lives and family since 1983, I think.

I am also working on Glimpses II, and who knows? I may keep doing short stories like that. We'll see.

And I hereby promise not to end the series by killing Seregil and/or Alec. I just will not do it.

That is all.

End of an Era

Thanks to a borrowed humane trap and a chicken wing, we caught Skit and took her to the vet to be spayed this morning. The kittens have good homes, and no more will be produced. I miss them, but I'm happy things have come out they way they have. She can hang out happily in the garage with Oscar for the rest of her days. Of course, given what all this is costing (had to have a Feline Leukemia and HIV test, too, as it turned out) she will probably run away as soon as we let her out of the garage in two weeks and never be seen again. No such thing as a free cat.

Today's Best Typos

His dark hair flowed loose beneath his scared helmet.

Before them the gassy rolling hills of the frontier stretched into the distance.

Skittens Gone

Last night the last of the skittens, Rufus, was adopted by a friend of mine. All three went to people I know and like , so that's a very good thing, but I do miss them.

Poor LJ! Does anyone know why they are being attacked, and by whom?
