Stephenie Meyer is a great writer. There, I said it.

So I wrote a column this week (for The Omaha World-Herald, where I work in the Living section) about why women love Twilight.

I took it really seriously (maybe too seriously?) because I loved reading those books, and most of my female friends loved reading them … and almost all of us are smart and rational and not obsessed with 17 year old boys …

I really mean that. Both parts.

First, welcome! This is my new website. It was designed by the lovely and amazing Cathy Solarana, and I'm extremely pleased with it. (I might actually start sewing tags like this into all of my clothes.)

There's not a lot here yet, but there will be. I'll be posting book news, links to my best Omaha World-Herald columns, lists, rants, recipes (not really recipes) – and I think I'm going to start recapping again. Definitely by the time Mad Men comes back. Maybe...
