Fred the Clown: The Last Goon Show of All

This strip was done as a response to the death of Harry Secombe, the last surviving member of the Goons, the 1950s comedy troupe who profoundly affected the way I see the world*.  Being a rabid E. C. Segar nut, I couldn't resist a nod to the original Goons as well.

*(I realise that's a very unfashionable thing to say these days, but it was true then and it's true now.)

LSCC Sketches: Head Shots

Hey, I think Rocky and Bullwinkle #1 is out today! Available in all good comic book stores. And there's an interview with me about my Muppet Show comics on the Tough Pigs website; please go and check that one out too.

And now, some head sketches.

LSCC Sketch: Joker & Harley Quinn

Multiple requests to draw Harley Quinn at this show. No idea why.

Fred the Clown: The Old Clowns' Home

This one was reformatted for some print anthology; as usual, I can't remember which one. I'm including both versions (web and print) here; I slightly prefer the black and white version.

Fred the Clown: Can I Phone A Friend?

I like this one quite a bit. I think its non-inclusion in any print version was just a format issue; it's an awkward shape to cut and paste into a different configuration. Or it may have just been because it didn't have a boffo laugh at the end of it. Anyway, I think there's something true going on here. (Pats self on back)
