A First Review for "Flash Warden"

Thank you to Kathleen for the following review:

From six words to two thousand words, Eileen's writings prove to be entertaining and thought provoking. Every time I opened the book, I felt like I was riding one of the thought provoking, exhilerating and emotionally-charged waves in stories like "Surf Mama," "Shopping Mall Moments," "Manna" and "A Call to Arms." Eileen has included such a variety of topics and styles that every writing touched me in some way, causing some sort of personal response.

Nervous as a Pure Cat

Next weekend, I will take my fears in hand, wrap them carefully under a new outfit and a new hat, and walk into "enemy" territory.

Actually, it's the friendliest territory there could be in this sprawling city, Los Angeles. It's the Los Angeles Festival of Books!

However, it has been moved from my beloved UCLA to the more centrally located USC (mortal rivalry there with the Bruins) and thus my trepidation.

Except that's not really true. So far, I have visited several book clubs in person. But mostly I have answered fan mail online, done interviews online, etc.

Now I am going to interact with my readers one on one! The joy! The terror!

April 30th, booth 962 (authorsden); USC, 11-12 noon. Candy, book chat, and books to buy or have signed. See you then!

Oh Happy Day!

Who knew this Wednesday would feel so great? I won a copy of "Caleb's Crossing" here on Goodreads.

Then I checked my CreateSpace account where I am awaiting the NEW Kindle format of my first book, "Some Rivers End on the Day of the Dead."

That's not ready yet, BUT. . . someone bought a copy of my poetry book! That is really exciting because I have hardly promoted it at all, and I love both the book and the book trailer.

Finally, I ordered proofs for "Stairs of Sand." This is not in the Marisol trilogy, but a novel I have worked on for about six years. I'm ready to see what it can do.

Hurry for today!
