30 Day Blogger, Day 17: A Favorite Painting
John Singer Sargent's "Lady Agnew of Lochnaw." I don't tend to like portraits, but this one has always stuck with me. Look at her. The look on her face is one of superiority and indifference. And the detail in the gown...you can almost feel the texture. The softness of the colors is juxtaposed with that facial expression. What a fabulous bitch.

GLEE - "Forget You" Full Performance feat. Gwyneth Paltrow!
I wouldn't call myself a "Gleek", but the energy in this scene is fantastic. Love the cheerleaders:

30 Day Blogger, Day 16: A Song That Moves You
"Breathe Me" by Sia. I first heard this song at the end of SIX FEET UNDER, where it was used to stirring effect, and was extremely moved. Since then, it's been a favorite.

30 Day Blogger, Day 15: A Comic Book

This doesn't count as self-promotion, because I don't think this title is available anywhere any longer. I wrote "The Blackbeard Legacy" for Bluewater Productions a while back, but it never sold very well. It received good reviews, though. Eventually I was given all of the remaining copies. Apparently, female pirates don't sell well in the comic book world. But it was an interesting experience. I had said that I would most likely never write another comic book, but, alas, I'm trying it again with "Gordy."
