Happy Friday, peeps!

Today's post is all about giving thanks. That's right. Our nation's Independence Day is this Sunday, and without the men and women of the armed forces, our great nation would not enjoy the freedom it so easily takes for granted.
This cheer mom is giving a big shout of thanks to all those who place their lives on the line to keep me and mine safe. Thank you!

Douchebag award time!! Don't be an e-pirate!
Not all pirates look hot, sexy and oh-so-delicious like Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean. In fact, most pirates these days probably look a lot like you and me. The only difference being, they have zero respect for authors, musicians, actors/actresses. Trust me, the list goes on and on.

Yours truly went to the midnight showing of Eclipse last night (WOOT!) and I'm beyond tired and my brain feels like mush. As such, today's post is short and sweet, but oh-so-exciting.

Review! Life, Liberty and Pursuit
Happy Friday, peeps!
Song of the day- Faithfully by Journey (I've been listening to it non-stop as I finish up my WIP.)
If you hadn't already guessed, I love books. Whoa! Big surprise there, right! I'm a huge romance fan. Huge! The stories I read have to have a HEA (Happily ever after.)
The bulk of the books I read tend to be adult, paranormal romance, with a few contemporaries thrown in here and there for good measure. Once in a while, though, I come across a YA that just sucks me in and ...

This post is a good chaser to my thoughts on Monday about rejection. To reiterate quickly: Rejections suck ass, but you need to push forward and keep putting yourself out there.
Yesterday I decided to take my own advice and sent out a few more queries for one of my projects. And woohoo, I'm so glad I did! About thirty minutes after sending one of the queries, I received a partial request. Squee!

So I woke up yesterday morning feeling tired, and cursing the dawn as per usual. I peeled myself out of bed, slithered down my stairs with one eye open and somehow managed to situate myself in my favorite chair with my favorite piece of machinery, my laptop. Yes, I am a creature of habit, and this is my morning ritual.

I think the above pic says it all! Eclipse comes out on June 30th! That's fifteen days, people! Fifteen days until we get to enjoy the beautiful goodness that is Rob Pattinson playing Edward Cullen. Swoon!
My girls and I already have our tickets (Thanks, Deanna!) and are watching Twilight and New Moon before the Eclipse premiere. Woot!
