Will my limerence ever go away?

This question comes courtesy of a client I’ve been working with.

Susan* (not real name) has been limerent almost her entire life. And now, in her 40s, she worries that she will never find the Love of her Life. She writes,

“Hi Sonia, I’ve been limerent since I was a very young girl. It started with boybands in the 80s and 90s.I was always obsessed with the guitarist.. don’t know why! When I hit puberty and later on in college… I had several very intense crushes, where nothing came out of ...

Friends Ghosting, Conflicts, Cutting You Off? How to deal with it

Let’s start with a story:

Jeanne, Rach & Serene were tight friends. They’ve been in the same clique since they were 13 and remained close through middle school, high school and university, though each of them went to colleges in different states. Things seemed happy, fun and normal until they all graduated, started ‘adult’-ing and having their own careers. When they met up, it seemed fun still, but something was missing, some old spark. They would go months without really hanging out or talki...

Root Chakra Harmony: Cultivating a Sense of Belonging and Abundance

The root chakra, located at the base of the spine, is our foundation, our connection to the earth, and our source of stability and security. When our root chakra is in balance, we feel grounded, safe, and supported. We feel a sense of belonging and abundance in our lives.

We are also able to manifest alot better, we are able to take our dreams and desires from intuition to seeing it in reality.

But when our root chakra is blocked or imbalanced, we won’t be feeling a sense of belonging or ...

Desire better dates, love, affection and romantic intimacy? The Re.Lish Model is your answer

Deceiving Others. This is what the world calls a romance.

Oscar Wilde

Love recognizes no barriers. It jumps hurdles, leaps fences, penetrates walls to arrive at its destination full of hope.

Maya Angelou

Love never dies a natural death. It dies because we don’t know how to replenish its source. It dies of blindness and errors and betrayals. It dies of illness and wounds; it dies of weariness, of witherings, of tarnishings.

Anais Nin
Why do humans want and need love so much?

What...

How to Cure Limerence – Developing a Sense of Self and Awareness

When you are limerent or experiencing limerence, you probably know how it all feels and what is going on. There are certain patterns that you’d keep seeing repeat itself over and over:

An obsession with and constant intrusive thoughts about a crush, celeb or someone you desire romantically Falling for unavailable people – physically, emotionally. It’s the unavailability that makes you interested in the person Having a fantasy relationship with said person or crush, all one-sided an...

I am still not cured from limerence despite repeated therapy – why?

This is a question that I received from a potential client recently, with details changed:

“I have been suffering from retroactive jealousy and perhaps limerence and my partner left me. I’ve tried all kinds of therapy – CBT and a few others but I can’t seem to move forward. I have suffered from it in all my relationships”

This person also goes on to explain that they were in no contact with the people they were limerent with (unclear), that there was a verbal/physical altercation with sai...

Why I quit medium and substack and never looked back

Are you a writer? Then perhaps you have been aware of the presence of Medium and Substack and how their presence has been changing the writing’s landscape. Have they, though? We will talk about that much later in this post.

Medium started out first, a couple of years ago, with promises of how budding writers can build up their following, publish articles and let the interwebs crawl them – all that wonderful SEO stuff. You could cross-publish your articles from your website to Medium and peop...

Stop listening to others and do what you love – the key to business success

In my 6 years of doing business, and about 1 to 2 years of really doing it seriously, I’ve found out that most of what other people have told me about doing business? The trajectory, the to-dos etc, the tools, what you need to do about social media, what you should be doing… the majority of them just didn’t work for me.

At the beginning of my business journey, I spent thousands of dollars on various courses as well as expensive coaching. These courses were super varied and had no common them...
