Blogging Again?

Not really sure what to do here, but I've read recently that most of the social media platforms I rely on to get the word out about my books are changing to compete more with the TikTok model. The idea is that an algorithm decides what you see in your feed. You can't choose to see just your friends' posts or choose to see all the posts of a particular group you've joined. It's maddening! So, as an alternative, I'm going to have to take control and post things to something that I can rely on to consistently show my posts to people who want to see them.

This is tricky for me because I stopped blogging years ago due to losing blog after blog to hackers, corrupted files, glitches, etc. I spent years writing blogs that were completely lost. It was terrible. But I'm hoping this platform is more stable and I won't lose it. It looks like it saved a lot of old posts from 2018, so that seems hopeful, in that regard.

So. I'm blogging again. I'll be posting stuff in multiple places and I'm going to get some of the content I've posted on facebook in recent days to bring this blog a bit more up to date. Bear with me while I do that and welcome back to my blog. We'll see how it goes. :)

Gatekeeper & New Covers

Happy New Year all! I've been remiss in posting over here on Goodreads, but to be honest, I've never really mastered this site even a little. ;-) More on that later... First, the news...

Gatekeeper came out in late December and is the latest in my Dragon Knights series.



Since I wrote two Dragon Knights in a row, I'm putting that series aside for the moment and am working on the next book in my Gift of the Ancients series, which I hope to release in the next couple of months.

I also wanted you to know that I've put new covers on my old Resonance Mates series. They haven't shown up here on Goodreads yet and honestly, I'm stymied by the listings for that series. I just looked at Book 1 Hara's Legacy, and the GR listing shows EIGHT editions! How does this happen?



There were only ever 2 editions - the first publication by Samhain Publishing in 2007 and my re-publication as an indie title in 2015, when it came off contract. There were no changes to the book at that time other than the change in ISBN and cover art, so they're basically the same book, just published by two different entities. Yet there are EIGHT editions listed on GR. I don't understand that at all. *smh*

And the new cover doesn't show up here at all. Again, there were no changes to the book except for the cover art change. It has the same ISBN as the 2015 edition. It IS the 2015 edition in all but cover. I'd love for the new art to show, since I think it's so much more on point than the old covers, but I have no idea how to make that happen. Oh well. It's one of those mysteries of GR that keeps me wondering if I'll ever understand this site at all. ;-)

New Grizzly Cove Preorder

Just letting you all know that I've put the next Grizzly Cove novel up for preorder with a release date of June 30, 2020. The title is BLACK MAGIC BEAR and it's Jack's story. He's the last of the 3 bear shifter brothers who ride Harley's. LOL.

Just Finishing a New Book

You may have noticed that I don't blog here often. Sorry. I find goodreads difficult to navigate because I don't spend much time on this site. I feel it's a site intended for readers, not so much for authors and I don't want to be too intrusive. As a reader, I don't use anything to organize the books I read. It's just chaos, and I like it that way! LOL

But, here's a bit of an update for my readers. Since my last blog post here - which I think was last year - I've had a couple of new releases. FUTURE PAST came out in February and is the long-awaited sequel to WARRIOR'S HEART.



In March, I released LION IN WAITING, which is the 15th book in my Grizzly Cove series.



In April, I released another Gift of the Ancients book, titled A FRIEND IN NEED.



Since the coronavirus lockdown started, I've been working on another Grizzly Cove book, titled BLACK MAGIC BEAR. It took longer than I wished, but I'm putting the finishing touches on the first draft today and will be sending it to my editor shortly. I hope to have it out in the next couple of months, though I don't have a solid date yet. That will depend on my editor and how quickly she can turn it around.

I'll try to come back and post an update here when I finalize the date and start the preorder. Hope you are all staying safe in this crazy time. <3

That was due mostly to behind-the-scenes publisher stuff that I won't go into here, but suffice to say, everything has shaken loose now and I'll be writing more stories in this series next year. Sorry I haven't posted here in a while. A lot has been going on. First, I got the rights back to all five of my military paranormal books that were previously published by Kensington's Brava line. I changed some of the titles around because I was NEVER happy with the titles they chose, so long-time readers should keep an eye out for that. The books are:

Looking Forward: March

This March is shaping up to be a fun month. For those who are waiting, all five of the Resonance Mates books will come out of the Kindle Unlimited program in the middle of the month. So, if you are a KU subscriber, grab them now because they won't be going into the program again any time soon. (Like, not for YEARS - if ever.) If you're not an Amazon person and have been waiting for the books to come back to other vendor sites, they'll be there again before the end of the month.

New Book - We're going back to Grizzly Cove this month with the first new Grizzly Cove book of the year. LOADED FOR BEAR comes out on the 20th.

I plan to start at least one, possibly two, new preorders in March, but we'll see how that goes. It's my policy - to lower my stress level - to NOT start a preorder until the first draft of a book is written. How many preorders I can start depends on how many projects I can finish this month, so stay tuned for more info on that...

Badass Bear is Now Available!

My new book, BADASS BEAR is now available!
