Two Lori Wilde romances together for the first time in print!

LICENSE TO THRILL

Las Vegas private eye Charlee Champagne is absolutely fearless. But when handsome Mason Gentry strides into her office, demanding to know where his grandfather is, she can’t control the goosebumps. It’s not like Mason to be in Sin City while the biggest deal of his banking career wraps up without him, but one moment with Charlee brings out his wild side. Before he knows it, Mason is on a mission, driving pedal to the metal across the desert with the toughest, sexiest woman he has ever met . . .

YOU ONLY LOVE TWICE

Comic book creator Marlie Montague’s life isn’t as exciting as her heroine’s . . . until someone points the business end of a pistol right at her. Now she needs help from a real-life action hero: her rock-hard Navy secret-agent neighbor, Joel Hunter. Soon he and the beautiful Marlie are blowing the doors off a full-blown conspiracy with more double agents than a Bond flick. But the real mystery is: How does Marlie manage to leave Joel both shaken and stirred?

It’s also release day for the awesome author, Kieran Kramer. I had the good fortune of reading this book in ARC form and I loved it. What Southern charm! I hope you’ll give Kieran’s book a try.

HE’S SURE GOT A WAY WITH WORDS…

The last person True Maybank expected to run into while picking up her wedding gown was country music superstar Harrison Gamble. Years ago, when they were small-town teens in Biscuit Creek, South Carolina, they shared a forbidden night of passion. Now that she’s about to settle down, True’s love affair with the handsome crooner is a thing of the past. Or is it? From the moment he says hello, she has to fight swooning like an adoring fan.

CAN SHE RESIST HIS CHARMS?

Today he’s rich, famous, and on every woman’s hot list. But back in the day, Harrison wasn’t good enough for debutante True. Since then she’s had her fair share of marital prospects, including the perfect Southern gentleman she’s about to settle down with. Is Harrison the only one to realize the mistake True’s about to make? Can the society girl and the sexy singer make music together—this time around?

“Kieran Kramer’s smart, sassy storytelling charms readers because there is always poignancy mixed with passion, tenderness, and humor.” —RT Book Reviews

Like Cupcakes? You’ll Love THE CUPCAKE DIARIES by Darlene Panzera

Hey guys!

I recently had the good fortune to read THE CUPCAKE DIARIES: SPRINKLED WITH KISSES by Darlene Panzera. What a cute novella.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

We were lucky to coax Darlene into stopping by to tell us a bit more about herself and her delicious series.

Welcome, Darlene. Before we get started can you tell us a bit what this book is about?

Hi Lori! Thank you so much for inviting me to be your guest. I’m thrilled to be here.

In the first few novellas of  The Cupcake Diaries series, three down-on-their-luck women band together to open a cupcake shop and ultimately find true love in the process. In Sprinkled with Kisses, they prepare to compete at the state cupcake competition and hire a cousin, Stacey McIntyre, to run their new mobile cupcake stand in Cannon Beach, Oregon. Stacey is looking forward to summer sun, fun, and sand, but finds herself competing for customers against the handsome owner of an ice cream truck instead. Now she must convince Mr. Wright that working together will lead to sweeter rewards.

Although this is #5 in the series, each novella can be read as a stand-alone.

Q: Who has been the biggest influence on your writing?

N.Y. Times best-selling author, Debbie Macomber. Avon Books sponsored a contest for unpublished authors and Debbie hand-picked my entry as the winner. Since then I’ve published 6 titles with Avon and all kinds of doors have been opening for me in the publishing industry. I’d always admired Debbie’s perseverance in her own journey to write and publish, and she continues to inspire me today.

Q: What is the one thing your readers would be the most surprised to know about you?

I was once on the front cover of a brochure advertising Capture the Flag paintball games! My friends and I had played at a place in Pennsylvania. They had a professional photographer on the playing field and after the day was done you could buy your photos. A year later we went back and discovered the company had used my photo to be their cover model and placed the pamphlets in every store within a fifty mile radius. This drove my friends nuts and I got teased big time!

Q: Where is the one place you have always wanted to visit, a place on your bucket list?

Hawaii. I’d go right now except I still have two boys to put through college. I hope one day soon I’ll finally get there!

Q: Who are some of your go to authors, and what are you reading right now?

I have always loved books by Judith McNaught, Jude Deveraux, Julie Garwood. More recently I’ve been reading Debbie Macomber and Lori Wilde books. I was sent a whole box full when I won the Avon contest a couple years ago. (grin.) I enjoyed your novel, The Cowboy takes a Bride, because I love horses, cowboys, and ranch settings. My first published novel, Bet You’ll Marry Me, takes place on a ranch. Right now I am reading the Daniel Plan: 40 days to a Healthier Life by Pastor Rick Warren so I can learn to eat healthier and stay physically fit—a necessity after sitting at my computer desk writing all day.

Q: I heard Debbie Macomber discovered you. Tell us a little bit about that.

I published a few short stories and had gone back and forth with different editors for 3 ½ years hoping they’d finally offer me a contract for my novel, The Bet. They kept giving me two full pages of critique which I used to revise the story, but no deal. Then a friend told me about the Avon Books contest. After the Avon editors selected three finalists, Debbie Macomber chose the winner—who would then publish their story with Debbie’s in her release, Family Affair. The “Make Your Dreams Come True Contest” really was a dream come true for me. When the editors at Avon discovered I had cut my novel in half to win the contest they immediately offered me a second contract for the full novel and re-titled it, Bet You’ll Marry Me. A few months later they asked if I’d be interested in writing a novella series about a cupcake shop, and here I am with The Cupcake Diaries. I love hearing from readers. If anyone would like to know more, please visit me at: www.darlenepanzera.com

To help Darlene celebrate her new release, we’ve got some great giveaways.

1) A Wilton cupcake decorating set.

 2) A $10 gift card from either Barnes and Noble or Amazon, winner’s choice.

 3) A copy of my recent novella, the latest addition to the Twilight, Texas series in either print or e-book, your choice.

Leave a comment and let me know which giveaway you’re interested in and I’ll put your name in for a random drawing. Will pick the winners next Tuesday, March 25th.

Happy Reading!

Lori

Interview with Shauna Allen

You guys, I am blessed with the most awesome virtual assistant who happens to be a damn good writer. So good that I know she’ll soon enough leave me in the dust as her own writing career shoots skyward. But for now, I’m enjoying the benefits of a crackerjack helper. I interviewed Shauna about her latest release. It’s a completely different take on Charlie’s Angel. So help me welcome Shauna.

Q:  You write sexy, fun books about tattooed men and angels.  Quite the combo.  How did that happen?

A:  It was one of those things that I didn’t set out to do.  The stories found me.  I sat down to start a new project one day, not knowing exactly what I wanted to write, and just let myself free write what wanted to come.   Well, what came was the pretty sexy prologue to Inked by an Angel, which ended with my hero, Jed, saying that infamous line, “The Angel made me do it.”  I sat back, perplexed.  “What angel?”  I hadn’t intended that and didn’t quite know what to do with it.  Well, after much thought, I eventually crafted an entire book, then an entire series, around that one line of dialogue, creating Michael my matchmaking angel.

As for the tattooed men, well, I knew early on that I didn’t want “traditional” heroes.  I like ‘em with a little edge.  So putting that first book in a tattoo parlor—with an angel at the helm no less—seemed like a lot of fun!

Q:  Like mine, several of your books are based in Texas, what drew you to write your stories there?

A:  Well, I grew up in Austin, so I am a Texas girl.  It was very easy to write what I knew and loved.  And I absolutely adore the Texas Hill Country.  It’s where my parents live now and where I find the most peace, so more often than not I send my characters there.  (Small tidbit: I do have one book that’s not a part of the Cupid Chronicles called Elvis is a Keeper that takes places 100% in the Hill Country with a female fishing guide heroine, and I built in real parts of the area including a historical marker commemorating an Indian massacre that fascinated me.)

Q:  Your latest release, Charlie’s Angel, is based on a secondary character from another book.  Why did you do that and can you tell us a little about that?

A:  Ah, Charlie, Charlie!  I knew I wanted to write a holiday novella, and when I went about choosing characters, instead of creating new ones, I decided to go back to some of my previous secondary people to see if I could revisit any to give them a happy-ever-after or, better yet, redeem them.  And that’s exactly what I did.  Charles Benson first shows up in Inked by an Angel as my heroine’s ex and he’s not the greatest.  But there was just a little, tiny something not horrible about him, too.  So, I took my poor, unsuspecting, uptight accountant boy and shook things up for him.  And I had a blast doing it with just the perfect girl for him!

BLURB

Charlie’s back!

Miserable and unsettled in his predictable, suit-and-tie existence, Charles Benson, Jr. is finally waking up and realizing a few things.

He hates his life.

But instead of a change, he finds himself thrust deeper into the same ol’, same ol’, only worse.

Or is it?

Kami Monroe.

Tattooed. Pierced. Outspoken. Fiercely sexy.

Jaded after being burned by an unreliable dreamer, she rolls her eyes at Charles’s uptight monkey suits and Polo shirts, even as she secretly craves the stability he represents . . . not to mention the unexplainable and explosive chemistry sizzling between them.

There’s only one thing stopping them. Each other.

Second chances . . .

Add to the mix an angel getting one last shot at Love Detail before moving up the ranks, and you could have a match made in Heaven . . . if they’d just get the hell out of the way.

Key to the City

On Saturday, Feb. 15th, Granbury, Texas changed it’s name to Twilight and Mayor Min Hulett presented me with the key the city. To say I am humbled is an understatement. What a career highlight! I want to thank Mayor Hulett, and the citizens of Granbury for giving me their highest honor. There’s a reason I chose this warm and welcoming town as the inspiration for my fictional world of Twilight, Texas. I can’t help but love the generous people who call this lovely place home.
