For Nashville

Hi all,

I'm in a serious deadline crunch right now, so I'll be scarce for a while, but I did want to pop up a quick post about Do The Write Thing for Nashville, a flood relief charity auction for the flood victims in Tennessee.

This kind of disaster always hits me hard, because my family and I went through the same thing during Katrina. We lost everything, and because hurricane insurance doesn't cover storm surge (WTF?) we weren't insured for the total loss of the brand new house and all its...

The Lords of Deliverance Are Coming!

The prophecies were there but no one listened. Until now.

They are the Lords of Deliverance and they have the power to usher in Doomsday…or prevent it.

Yep, got the official word…the Demonica spinoff series about the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse will launch in April 2011 with Eternal Rider, book 1!

The series title will be The Lords of Deliverance, and you'll meet the first hero, Ares (War) in Sin Undone. Very excited. The book is due to my editor at the beginning of June, and I don't h...

Website Update!

tempt200FINALLY! Stephanie Tyler and I got our Sydney Croft site updated with new pages and excerpts for upcoming releases. So if you've been wondering about Tempting The Fire, the page is all set to go!

Hope you have all been well! I'm going to be a little scarce — between deadlines and some medical issues, I'm going to be unplugging a bit.

Have a great day, everyone!

Quick Question

demonduckTotally out of the blue, but I have two questions about author promotional items.

1. What's the best promotional item you ever received from an author? (My most used favorites are a cat food can cover I got from Linda Lael Miller and a jar opener from Geri Krotow. My other favorites include a shot glass from Jacquelyn Frank.)

2. Do you enjoy the smaller items like bookmarks and pens? As in, do you use them or toss them?

Thanks, everyone! Hope you're having a nice weekend!!!!

Vacation Planning

So…my husband and I are planning a trip to the U.K. (OMG, I can't wait!) Of course, we don't have a solid date yet, so we can't do ACTUAL planning, like booking hotels and flights, but we can figure out where we want to go and stay. We can play around with how we're going to travel. We can figure out how much we want to spend.

We just have to get past the planning stage without divorcing.

Mainly, we have to decide where to splurge and where to be a little more frugal. Nice hotel or just a ...

The Romance Section

After reading Mad's open letter to Books-A-Million and Amy Knupp's observations about the Romance section in the book store where she worked, I had to chime in.

See, I used to not have such a high opinion of romance novels. I admit it. Oh, sure, there are some clunkers, but you find that in every genre. But now I don't know how I ever looked down on romance in the first place. I do understand not liking it — there are genres I don't like, and I have to admit, I don't love all the romance...

Okay, this is it. The championship round in DABWAHA! If I win I get bragging rights! If I lose…I'll well, I won't have bragging rights.

Yup, there's a lot at stake here.

I need your help big time on this one. I'm currently pretty far behind, so I could use some votes if you get a chance!

Vote Ecstasy Unveiled here!
