Fish fingers and custard, baked bow ties, and Dalek desserts? These Gallifreyan gourmet goodies will delight even the grumpiest of Whovians.
Local author Chris-Rachael Oseland, also know as the Kitchen Overlord, has recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for the new and improved version of her Doctor Who-themed cookbook, Dining With the Doctor: Regenerated.
The book itself is designed so that you can bake your way through 116 episodes from the new Doctor Who series, starting with the 9th Doctor, Christopher Eccleston. Stretch goals include adding recipes for the 8th Doctor and the War Doctor, along with an entire chapter on souffles!
Check out their Kickstarter and join us in supporting local geekery! Allons-y!

May 20, 2015: Take The GURPS Monster Hunters Fight To Strange New Realms!
The sinister forces of the GURPS Monster Hunters series have always been of a supernatural bent. But not any more! Now the incredibly skilled heroes can face foes of a more scientific bent, with the newly released GURPS Monster Hunters 5: Applied Xenology .
This meaty add-on for Monster Hunters offers a world of exciting new possibilities. Are the heroes masters of technology, experts on the occult, or both? Are the threats that prey on humanity from beyond the stars, the depths of Hell, our own world . . . or all of the above? Select the options to make the Monster Hunters campaign you want.
Applied Xenology includes scientific revisions and options for all the supernatural-focused templates from earlier supplements. This installment in the series also features technomagic – a revamp of the Ritual Path magic system to use computer hardware and software to do the impossible. It also comes with a slew of horrifying aliens, ranging from conspiracy-suitable Greys and Reptoids to horrific monsters such Devourers and Insectoids. And that's not all!
With GURPS Monster Hunters 5: Applied Xenology , players and GMs alike now have a new world of possibilities to protect – and endanger – humanity . . . thanks to the power of science!

May 21, 2015: Crowdfunding Focus: The Devil's Run Boardgame

As a kid, I played a lot of Car Wars . Very possibly too much Car Wars , but we don't need to think about that. I also played Milton Bradley's Thunder Road – another car combat game of the time – fairly regularly. Thunder Road came out when we needed our car combat fix and didn't have much time to play. The Thunder Road's "rolling board" movement system left the stragglers in the dust and forced all of us to push our cars to the redline. We were constantly racing to stay in the lead or, at the very least, to not fall so far behind that a board change dumped our cars out of the action.
It was the "rolling board" movement system that immediately came to mind while watching the gameplay videos for The Devil's Run: Route 666 , a new miniatures game that's now on Kickstarter. I've never played the game, but the light and fast feel of the gameplay (plus the incredible artwork) had me clicking the "back" button. The Kickstarter project closes in a few weeks, so if you're a fan of automotive mayhem and firepower check out the project. The game sounds like it may be a lot of fun to play once it is released.

May 22, 2015: Brick Fiesta - Austin, TX - July 23-26, 2015
Brick Fiesta is a Lego fan convention, now in, IIRC, its fifth year. It moves between cities, and for 2015 it will be back in Austin. I will be there; Guy Himber of Crazy Bricks will be Guest of Honor. SJ Games will have a booth next to Guy's, and in one or the other of them, you will definitely be able to get Guy's
Munchkin
Bricks. There will be at least one, and maybe two, giant-sized versions of our games with Lego-built boards. There will also be massive quantities of other Lego-geeky stuff.
So you should come if (a) you're in Austin and you're enough of a game fan to be reading this – in which case you want the two-day membership – or (b) you're a Lego fan anywhere in Texas, in which case you want the full four-day Total Geek membership. Which is not actually called that, but should be.

Warehouse 23 News: Stop That Thief!
Sure, a dungeon is a good obstacle for heroes. But what if the dungeon itself was alive . . . and hunting heroes?! This premise comes to life with Eyes of the Stone Thief , an adventure that pits 13th Age against the titular Stone Thief dungeon. Download it today from Warehouse 23 . . . because the Stone Thief might not let you see tomorrow!

May 11, 2015: New Booster Pack Form Factor
We've done some research and talked to our retailer friends, and what we've learned is that the finseal packs that we usually put Munchkin boosters in aren't as easy to display on the shelf as they could be. So we went back to the drawing board on packaging for them, and now we're going to start releasing boosters in a hanging blister pack, so that retailers can hang them with our expansions. You'll see this first with our reprint of Star Munchkin: Space Ships in June. Check out the picture if you want to see a side-by-side comparison; the one on the left is the old packaging, and the new packaging is on the right.
Star Munchkin: Space Ships
Munchkin Booty introduced Ships to the world of Munchkin . You guys immediately asked why we didn't have Ships for Star Munchkin as well. So now we do!
Star Munchkin: Space Ships lets you ride in – or on – the Horsefly, the Starfurry, or the USS Secondprize. You can buff your ships with a Quad-Mounted Laser or a Bridge. And you can let your new Sidekick, Otto, do the flying for you.
Live long and prosper and kill monsters!
Note: This is an expansion for Star Munchkin , not a stand-alone set. Space Ships is not collectible or randomized; every pack is the same as every other.

Warehouse 23 News: Mutations And Master Musings?
Yes, you should read The Mutation Manual for an excellent sourcebook that adds over 200 new mutations to Metamorphosis Alpha . But even if you don't have any interest in downloading this supplement from Warehouse 23, you should read the excerpt from the intro, which features an anecdote about the late, great Gary Gygax. Trust us; it's charming.

May 7, 2015: Munchkin Zombies Deluxe Hits Your Local Store
Munchkin Zombies Deluxe was only available in Barnes & Noble Stores . . . until now. Now you can buy it at your local store, as well as on Warehouse 23!
Munchkin Zombies Deluxe
What makes this edition "deluxe"? It's got a big gameboard to keep your cards in place, and six colored standies that you move on the gameboard as you level up!
Kill the Living! Eat their Brains! Braaiiinns!
It's the sickest, silliest Munchkin yet! You are zombies, kicking down doors and eating brains. The "monsters" you're attacking are people, some helpless and some hazardous, with a few rogue zombies thrown in. The armor is whatever you've blundered across during your lurching search for brains. So bravely forth you'll go, with mousetraps on your feet and a bowling trophy protecting your poor rotting head . . . to level up, or to die.
Again.
