April 9, 2016: New Ogre Rules Posted For Comment

Ogre fans, this is for you.



Now on the forums at http://forums.sjgames.com/showthread.php?p=1996605#post1996605 is a 12-page PDF with all art corrections, many text corrections resulting from your comments on the last version, and a more compact layout. The remaining empty space will be turned into art and (probably) one ad. This may start as soon as next week, if Sam and I can just get better.

April 5, 2016: GAMA Trade Show Wrap-Up

The dust from the GAMA Trade Show in Las Vegas has settled, and it was a veritable whirlwind of activity from Steve Jackson Games!



We had a bevy of new titles to announce, including our Munchkin Meeples , which several lucky attendees walked away with! We had official words on  Munchkin Pathfinder Guest Artist Edition , with incredible art from Shane White, artist for the Pathfinder: Goblins! comic series from Dynamite. CEO Phil Reed presented our upcoming Moop's Monster Mashup , a standalone Munchkin set based on the nefarious Moop and his zany animal combinations, as well as our summer releases, Bill and Ted's Excellent Boardgame and Simon's Cat Card Game . Marketing Director Rhea Friesen even showed off a few of those games on the Dice Tower GAMA Stream, along with a quick interview.

GAMA wouldn't be complete without the Steve Jackson Games Penthouse Party! We had several new retailers sign up for our Store Finder, adding lots of great stores in our ever growing network. Everyone seemed to have a great time, but as you know – what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas. Except for new announcements. Those go everywhere!

April 2, 2016: Simon's Cat Card Game Is The Cat's Meow!

I had been waiting with great anticipation to play Simon's Cat Card Game and was so excited to get the opportunity! Simon's Cat is a fast-paced game filled with purr-fect imagery. The object of the game is to be the one who doesn't get blamed for causing a mess by matching colors and numbers.



I used to work in after-school programming for grade-school kids (now I have a quiet desk job that involves no sticky fingers, hopefully) and I wish Simon's Cat was available during that time. The concepts were quick to learn and very engaging. I would play this game with anyone who enjoys kitten around. You can try to shelter yourself from the other players throwing catastrophes your way, but at the same time you can really sink your claws into them. I am paws-itively certain this game would be a hit at any party!

March 31, 2016: Not Back In The Saddle, But Closer

Apologies to everyone with whom I dropped correspondence earlier this month. I got a little sick on the cruise, thought I had gotten better and kept going . . . and somewhere along the line it turned into a big sick. In early March, I was diagnosed with pneumonia. I spent a couple of weeks of miserable, coughing weakness. (Protip: Do not catch pneumonia. Just say no.)



Things are better now, but it will probably be at least another week before I'm putting in anything like regular hours, and for a while I will be more conservative in my travel plans.
