I'm back! And off again!
Just back from my US tour (which was brilliant! So great meeting the students of Jefferson, Highland and Greendale Middle Schools - something like 2500 altogether). And I'm off again! This time on a UK trip to Cheltenham Festival on Saturday for a panel with Meg Rosoff, then Bath Festival on Sunday. Come along! Next week, I'm at the Manchester Festival on Tuesday and an event at Simply Books in Cheshire on Weds. Busy!
I'm also going to Slovenia in November, and my lovely Slovenian publishers have put a page with all the details here. Can't wait to meet some Slovenia readers.
Greetings to all the new commenters while I've been away (and now I'm going away again). More soon, though, I promise.

Radio 2 tomorrow! America this week!
I'll be on Simon Mayo's Drivetime Programme tomorrow from 6pm talking about More Than This with his book club. Tune in!
I'm also going to America this week, staring with the National Book Fair in Washington, DC on Saturday, followed by Manhattan and Brooklyn on Sunday, then St Louis on Tuesday night. Please come along, meet me in America, thrill as my accent struggles to recognize where it is!
Greetings to the new commenters and thanks so much everyone for all the kind words on More Than This. Hopefully see you in America!

More Than This reviews (and stuff)!
So More Than This came out on Thursday in the UK and tomorrow in the US, and I've already had some really good reviews - which is lovely! There's one in the Guardian and one the Daily Mail (so all political bases are covered), plus the Irish Times and the Boston Globe; it was the Sunday Times Book of the Week, and there was a really great review on Tor.com. Plus, a ton of bloggers (and I don't want to play favourites here, but seek 'em out, good stuff!).
It's going to be Teen Book Club book for the Guardian, too, so read along! You know, if you want.
I'm just back from a great trip to Dublin, and I'm off to America next week so check my events page. Hope to meet some of you. Greeting to the new commenters and more soon...

Publication Day! I'm also on the Beeb...
It's publication day for More Than This! Yes, it is. I've got a very busy schedule talking about it, and there's a particularly lovely review here.
I'm going to be on BBC Breakfast tomorrow talking about it (pending breaking news or a runaway Emeli Sande), looks like sometime between 8.30 and 9.15. It's also going to be the Simon Mayo book club on on 16 Sept on Radio 2, so cool stuff.
I'm also in Dublin this Saturday for Mountains to Sea for two events, one on Crane Wife and a teen-moderated one on More Than This.
I'm also quite tired! Greeting to the new commenters and much much more soon. Hope you like the book, I'm really proud of it.

Events! Lots of 'em!
I've been away for a couple weeks on holiday (and getting married), but back! Just in time, too, as More Than This comes out a week from today! It does! Pretty much everywhere. Hope you like it.
I'm doing LOTS of events for it in lots of places, but the ones you need to know about right now are the public launch at Waterstones Piccadilly on Tuesday! Tickets are available by calling 0207 851 2419 or emailing events@piccadilly.waterstones.com.
Looks like I'm going to be on BBC Breakfast on 6 September to chat about it.
And I'm going to be Dublin on 7 September for the Mountains to Sea Festival. There's a Crane Wife event at 3pm, tickets here, and a More Than This teen event at 7pm, tickets for that here.
In the meantime, check the Events page, which is updated with even more future events, including the US, Cheltenham, Bath, Manchester, Leeds, Gateshead and Dundee. I'll also be in Holland, Belgium and Slovenia before the end of the year.
Greetings to the new commenters! Lots of stuff (obviously soon) to come.

A month to go...
...before the release of More Than This in the UK, Ireland, Canada, America, Australia and New Zealand. Do please check out the Events page for lots of events I'm doing around the world for it, particularly the launch for it at Waterstones Piccadilly in London. Tickets are available by calling 0207 851 2419 or emailing events@piccadilly.waterstones.com
Also check out my Irish events on 7 September (with hopefully more to come).
Greetings to the new commenters, and I'm probably going to take a break until the August with most online stuff (you should too!). See you in September when the new book is out! In the meantime, here's me at the Edinburgh Festival yesterday talking about joy.

Back! With TONS of news! Read, please.
Right, I'm finally back from a host of travels, with loads of news! First off, there's going to be a public launch for More Than This in London (for all those of you who complain I never London events) at Waterstone's Piccadilly on Weds, 3 September. Tickets are available by calling 0207 851 2419 or emailing events@piccadilly.waterstones.com Hope to see you there!
Next, my fab publishers Walker have put up an interactive cover for More Than This on my Facebook fan page. Check it out! Lots of content, including a video, and more to come.
Finally (for now), I've written a play for the Royal National Institute for the Blind. It's an immersive play called "Now That You've Died" and is narrated by the divine Christopher Eccleston. You can't buy tickets to it, I'm afraid, as it's a publicity fundraiser. But you can win them! Enter here, but hurry, comp ends Sunday.
Thank you so much to all the patient, patient commenters while I was away. I do read them all. More soon.
