NYT Editor's Pick and an iPod of All
A Monster Calls is an Editor's Choice in today's New York Times, which is very cool, and also a recommendation in the Observer, also very cool. In celebration (and in that I've been bad at updating recently with anything other than news), here's a new entry in my occasional series of iPod eps, from my own music selection. I give you the iPod of All
All Apologies, Nirvana - contains my favourite lyrical phrase ever: "Drowning on the ashes of your enemies"
All I Need, Radiohead - Two note riff, all kinds of moody brilliance
All My Little Words, Magnetic Fields - "Now that you've made me want to die/You tell me that you're unboyfriendable"
All Over the World, Pet Shop Boys - Should have been an international pop smash. Oh, well, still genius.
All You Pretty Girls, Jim Moray/XTC - Either version, both are fantastic.
More soon, greetings to the new commenters, and don't forget to follow me on Twitter (@Patrick_Ness) for stuff and nonsense.

Movie stuff
Hey, everyone, thanks for all the million and one comments about the movie news on Chaos Walking. Cool stuff. I did just want to say here that if, at whatever point in the future (and who knows?), there is ever information on casting or auditions or anything like that, I'll definitely put it up here on this sight. So don't worry, you won't miss anything.
More news to come soon; in the meantime, greetings to all the new commenters and Millie, I majored in English Lit, so it worked for me!

Big announcement time! Film rights for Chaos Walking sold to makers of The Hunger Games! Exclamation points!
I am very happy to finally (finally) announce, after years of politely saying no, that I have at last, said yes.
Lionsgate (currently making The Hunger Games) have acquired film rights for all three books in the Chaos Walking trilogy. The producer on it will be , who produced The Departed and How to Train Your Dragon (among many others), and you can read more about it in Variety or The Wrap.
Long way to go, obviously, but I'll admit, it's a bit exciting.
