After 9/11 we, in the United States, know what this kind of terrorist attack on a city can do. My thoughts and prayers are with those who have lost a loved one and the families and friends of the wounded. The first responders who gave aid without thought of their own safety and the citizens who reached out to a stranger to save a life have already shown more bravery and strength than the attackers who killed and maimed innocents. There are so many pictures of death and destruction. I chose this one for the strength and courage of the people and the country.

Veterans Day
Remembering and honoring those of my family who served:
My grandfather in World WarI
My husband’s father who was too young for WWI and too old for WWII but who helped build the ships our men needed after Pearl Harbor
My father in World WarII in the Pacific, on Iwo Jima
My husband as a corpsman in the Vietnam War
My brother who served in both the Atlanta and Pacific Fleets

Cover Work Today
I have been getting ideas of the cover of Taking a Chance. I’m still not sure about the title but that is nothing new. What is new is the software I will be using to create the cover. I have plenty of chocolate standing by to get me through the process of learning and using. Thankfully, I have an artist to help with the composition. So, with fingers crossed and the smell of chocolate in the air, I am ready to begin.

Before the Sun Rises
I love getting up before the sun rises. The earth is quiet and I can hear myself think. Lots of writing to do today. Have already posted to my social media. Then breakfast and the real fun begins. The rewrites on Taking a Chance are on the schedule. Still not sure about the title but haven’t thought of anything I like better. Also have some great ideas for promoting Care Giving: Real Life Answers. If I have time, I will be trying a few of them.
Hope you all have a great Sunday. Enjoy!

New Review on Care Giving: Real Life Answers
This review was posted on my facebook page:
This book Is Awesome!! Easy to read! Easy to Do. And has a sense of humor and Love for The difficult situations that no one Really wants!! Thanks for sharing your experiences and SKILLS. A Must have for EVERY HOME. Because we Never Know when we will Need to BE THE ONE. This book will give you all the answers, which in turn, Will Boost Your confidence and take away so much Fear , and the misunderstandings about navigating the scary health care system.
One of the things I tried to do when I wrote this book was to make it personal, not just a group of facts. My family provided so many experiences every day so I had a great deal of material from which to choose. Emotions play such an important role in care giving. I’m delighted to find the reader response is so positive.

Care Giving Hint
Care giving hint: When you are faced with your loved going to the ER, you will find a crisis bag to be very helpful. Most ER trips involve 4-6 hour wait at best. Most of the time, cells are banned. Chapter 9 in Care Giving: Real Life Answers gives details on creating a crisis bag and the reasons for each item included. So far, this is the first hint mentioned by readers of the book.

Halloween Is Here
Back from celebration trip just in time to enjoy Halloween. Had a great time. Tasted some really great food on the foodie tour. Savannah is a movie filming destination and there was one in town shooting scenes. We also had rain & some flooding. Since our hotel was on very near the river, we kept a close eye on the water level.
Here are some pictures. 1–container ship headed up river to unload. 2–one of the many squares in Savannah. 3–our horse drawn carriage which took us on a night tour of Savannah’s ghost area. Savannah is the most haunted city in the country.

Finished on Friday
This has been a great week. I have finally finished Taking a Chance. I’m still not sure I am keeping the title. I’ll be starting the rewrites and cover design over the next few weeks. But first I need a trip to recharge. Travel agent is planning the details. Can’t wait.
Followers increasing on Twitter at a great rate, up to 53 per day. Love it. So many new ideas on how to better utilize social media. And so many new books to read. Also, I’m lucky to have a number of artists following so the visuals are wonderful.
Thanks, everyone, for the support and encouragement.

Early Start
Once again, my day began at 5:30 am. Taking a Chance is in a hurry to be completed. At the moment, after writing 9 pages, the stalker is in the yard, Archer is out looking for him and the women are locked in the bedroom until he is found. Can’t wait to see what happens to J.R.
Once I finished writing for the day, at a wonderful 8 am, it was time to climb on the tractor and get the donkey pasture mowed. This should be the last time until spring.
