It’s Possible
It’spossible to put a man on the moon,
Possiblethat Heaven might be,
It’spossible that there may be life up on Mars,
Possiblethat you could love me.
Incredible,the look in your eyes,
Excitable,just holding your hand.
Unquenchable, the thirst that I have for your touch.
It’spossible I could be your man.
Everylittle bit of hope that you give me,
Everylittle sigh that you show,
Everysmile, every mile of your highway
Iwill walk with you forever,
Whereveryou go.
It’spossible to be so in love,
Possibleto always be true.
AndI know til the end of all time
I’llstill be here loving you.

Unbreakable
Unbreakable…
Unshakable…
Ibuilt a wall right from the very start.
Thencame you…
Can’tbelieve it’s true…
You’vebroken my unbreakable heart.
Siren’scall…
Didnot intend to fall…
Justa fool playing out a part.
Youforsake…
Leftme in your wake…
Breakingmy unbreakable heart.
Iwas so clever
Puttingup defenses,
Thenyou broke down
Everysingle one.
Butinstead of staying
Mendingall our fences,
Youtook my heart and
Sailedinto the sun.
You’llregret…
AndI’ll forget
Allthose little things that
Toreour love apart.
TilI do
I’llkeep missing you
WhileI’m mending my unbreakable heart.

Two Lips and Tulips
Iwalk through your field where
Thetulips grow wild
AndI sway as they wave in the wind.
Ithink of your sweet lips,
Thecurve of your smile,
Andwonder if I’ll ever see you again.
Youwere my morning,
Asfresh as the dew,
Andlife was so simple back then.
Yoursmile was brighter
Thanthe tulips of spring
Whenyou kissed me and told me
Thatwe were just friends.
Howcan I take it?
Howcan I make it?
Iwanted much more from the start.
Maybein time, if I’m patient, you’ll see
Thefeelings down deep in my heart.
Tastingyour honey,
Lostin your wine,
Dreamingof how life should be.
Tulipsin springtime,
Yourtwo lips on mine.
Tulips, your two lips, and sweet memory.

Wildfires
Thewind stirs up the heat,
Stokesthe embers into flame,
Andno one sees just where the fire starts.
Youcame in to save me
AsI struggle to explain
Thesewildfires that rage around my heart.
Wewere wide-eyed strangers,
Twostars crossing in the sky.
Weboth came crashing down out of the blue.
Irushed to be by your side
Burningbridges on the way
AndI ran through wildfires just to be with you.
Nowwe both know the danger
Asthe flames sky overhead,
Thatevery step we take
Couldbe our last,
Butwe keep moving forward
Becausewe know up ahead
Ourtroubles will be faded in the past.
There’sno need to worry,
There’sno need for doubt.
Wedon’t need to heed the fireman’s cry.
There’sa bright tomorrow
Andwe don’t have to fear
Thesewildfires that flame across our sky.

Tightening the Screws
Gameon
Andthe rules are soon forgotten.
Iknow
Twowrongs never make a right.
Flameon
Whenour two worlds burn together
Andwho knows where it all may end tonight.
Iknow
Thatwe should have seen it coming.
Eyeswide
Toanticipate the news.
Wecould have spent
Allour energy to fix things,
Makeit better
Tighteningthe screws.
Butyou never said a single word,
AndI was such a fool
Neverthinking about all that we could lose.
Couldhave made it all work better
Ifwe’d only thought it through
Andtook some time tightening the screws.
I’llbeg
Ifit makes it all seem better.
I’llplead;
Anythingto get to you.
We’lltry
Handin hand we’ll work together,
Spenda lifetime
Tighteningthe screws.

A Weakness for You
I’vealways been
The kind of person people can rely on,
Throughthick and thin
The one who would be strong.
Justlike a rock
Offering a hope to hold onto.
IfI have a weakness,
I have a weakness for you.
Iwas alone
Didn’t think I needed anybody,
Justlike an island
In a sea of blue.
Youcame along
Took my heart and melted it to water,
AndI found my weakness.
I have a weakness for you.
AllI have to do is close my eyes to see
Everylittle thing you are.
EverythingI’m hoping for and long to be
Iswaiting for me there in your arms.
Don’tsay a word,
Words don’t matter when we aretogether.
We’lldare the world,
Darling, just we two.
I’llface the fire
Knowing you and I will be forever.
IfI have a weakness
I only have a weakness for you.

Dancing in the Dark
Turnout the lights, dear,
Saygoodnight and send the guests all home.
Nowit’s just the two of us
Leftto dance and spend the night alone.
Somewherenext to midnight
Wesnuggle close and let the music start.
It’sjust you and me and we’re
Dancingin the dark.
Talkabout forever…
Talkabout the way it was back when…
Lighterthan a feather
Whenthe feeling comes around again.
Wedon’t need the sunlight.
Weknow when the arrow hits its mark.
Wecan spend the whole night long
Dancingin the dark.
Ifwe have to wait,
Wewon’t hesitate,
Wecan find a quiet place to rest.
Letthe world go by,
Wewon’t question why,
Wewon’t have a reason to confess.
Heartsare beating stronger
Waitingfor the evening sun to set.
Grandanticipation,
Nota single notion of regret.
Walkinghand in hand now,
Musicplaying softly from the park.
It’sjust you and me
Andwe’re dancing in the dark.

Hastily Waiting
Ilearned in the Army
Howto hurry up and wait,
Learnednever to volunteer,
AndI found out about fate.
Ilearned how a chance can fall
Rightout of the blue.
Sohere I stand hastily waiting for you.
Youcan’t imagine how hard it is to wait
Foryour life and your mind to change.
Irush to your doorstep whenever you call
Nomatter how awkward,
Nomatter how strange.
Therewas a time when
Theworld turned much slower,
Butthat changed the moment we met.
NowI’ll spend a lifetime
Ifthat’s what it takes
Hastilywaiting without regret.
Everymoment I stand by your side
Andrevel in your company
Isworth all the waiting
Outsideof your threshold
Toknow just how good life can be.
Maybeone day you’ll wake up
Andsomehow realize
Howmy heart has always been true. Til then
I’llquickstep to see you
Wheneveryou call,
Hastilywaiting,
Waitingfor you.

It Will Come to You
Neverknow when it will come
Orwhere it might appear, or
Exactlywhat to do when it arrives.
Onlyknow the longing grows
Towash away all fears
Asthose feelings long-forgotten come alive.
Andthe world stops spinning
Waitingfor forever,
Andthe multitudes boil down to just you two.
Thereis nothing sweeter on this side of Heaven.
Ifyou wait for it, it will come to you.
Iwas lost outside the crowd
WhenI first met you,
Sunkas deep as one can go and still survive.
Thenyour love lifted me up
Outof the quicksand,
Andthose long-neglected feelings were revived.
Nowwe stand before the world in testimony.
Nomore room for doubt
Andno need to explain.
We’vesurvived the storms
Growingstrong together,
Walkinghand in hand
Throughall the joy and pain.
Andthe world stops spinning
Waitingfor forever,
Andthe multitudes boil down to just you two.
Thereis nothing sweeter on this side of Heaven.
Ifyou wait for it, it will come to you.

Highways
Wecould go to Denver,
MaybeSan Antoine,
Takea trip to Memphis,
Slideback to Bayonne,
Motorinto Detroit,
Driveout to the coast,
Spendsome time at Disney,
Theplace we love the most.
Loveto see the canyon,
Theysay it’s awfully grand,
Takea stroll down Bourbon Street
Walkinghand in hand.
Wecould breeze the Gulf coast,
NewEngland in the fall,
Cruisethe Shenandoah
Untilwe’ve seen it all.
Lifeis filled with highways
Madefor you and me,
Runningto forever
Towhere we want to be.
Wecan find the future,
Wecan make a friend
Travelinglife’s highways
Untilwe reach the end.
