Answers in Genesis: Whats in a Name?

Did you know a lot of information can be conveyed by seemingly hidden things that are actually in plain sight? That is true of the Answers in Genesis ministry in many ways. At the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter, we offer fascinating exhibit tours highlighting elements that are hidden in plain sight. This month, in regard to the entire Answers in Genesis ministry, I want to share things with you that are hidden but also in plain sight.

First of all, lets consider names. Names are ...

UN Seeks to Decriminalize Child Sex, Sex Work, and Abortion

No, I am not exaggerating or being salacious with the headline for todays blog. The United Nations organization really does want sex with minors (they give no age limit to what a minor means!), sex work (including pimping out women and men), and abortion completely decriminalized. All this, and more, in the name of so-called human rights. Its the depravity of man on display for the world to see.

In a recent report (which took five years to complete), a panel of jurists, along w...

Construction Begins on Answers in Genesis New Headquarters

Answers in Genesis is growing again! As I detailed in a late February blog, were moving our offices from the Creation Museum to our new International Headquarters buildinga building that will be such a blessing to our growing staff but will also house our K12 school, Answers Academy. And interior demolition for construction and remodeling has begun!

As you can see in the photo below, the left side of the new headquarters building will house Answers Academywhich is a big praise ...

Hear the Story of How My Eldest Daughter Started a Christian School

In August of 2017, Answers in Genesis launched a brand-new Christian school, led by my eldest daughter, Renee Hodge. That school, Answers Academy, really is the result of the legacy my parents passed to me of passion for Gods Word and biblical authoritya passion we passed on to our children. Its exciting to see her following her passion for biblical worldview within an educational context to provide a school that is not only a blessing to families here in Northern Kentucky but one that...

Get Out and Support This Great Christian Film

Its only a few times a year (maybe!) that I can enthusiastically encourage my supporters to get out to their local theaters to support a film, and Im excited to say that is happening next month with the release of a brand-new documentary in the excellent Patterns of Evidence series: Journey to Mt. Sinai Part II, coming to US theaters two nights onlyMay 15 and 17, 2023.

Watch the video on YouTube.

Where was the biblic...

The Puzzle Continues: Where Did Earths Water Come From?

Earth is a pale blue dot, thanks to oceans, lakes, and rivers that cover 71% of the planets surface. But where did this abundance of water come from? Well, a recent popular science item reporting on a new study of meteorites begins by claiming, No one knows how or when such massive quantities of water arrived on Earth. But I wish theyd asked me first because I know how and when!

We have the history book of the universe, the Bible, at our fingertips, giving us the proper framewo...

My Favorite Bird Is Now at the Ark Encounter

My wife, Mally, and I have a favorite bird. Naturally, our favorite bird lives in Australia, the land of our birth. Do you know its name? Heres a hint: When we lived in Australia, we would often hear its characteristic laugh early in the morning.

Okay, whats our favorite bird? Its called the kookaburra! Now for some great news. Do you want to see our favorite bird? Well, we have now welcomed Silas, the laughing kookaburra, to our Ararat Ridge Zoo at the Ark Encounter!

There Are Six Kingdoms of LifeDo We Need a Seventh?

Is what I am about to write a radical idea? It may seem like one, but I want to challenge Christians to think from a biblical worldview. And that challenge may seem radical, but sometimes we do need radical change because the world has gone so far away from the truth of Gods Word!

Okay, heres my radical challenge. When students are taught in biology classes about the kingdoms of life, theyre usually taught that there are six different kingdoms, including the animal kingdom. Now, h...

What Does a 9-Week-Old Baby Look Like? California Representative Lies About It

The battle over the sanctity of life is one thats waged on the pro-death (i.e., pro-abortion) side by bullying, shallow catchphrases, poor logic, and, above all, many lies and deception. These tactics shouldnt surprise usafter all, were engaged in a spiritual battle with an enemy who is the father of lies and a murderer from the beginning, who seeks to steal and kill and destroy (John 8:44, 10:10). This was on full display recently in a disgusting tweet from Califo...

How Should Christians View Transgender Day of Visibility?

Ive had many Christians express dismay at what they see as a plethora of problems in the culture, such as abortion, gender issues, LGBTQ, gay marriage, racism, and so on. They have said to me that there are so many problems to battle, we can't fight them all. Its almost like they want to throw their hands in the air and give up because the problems seem so overwhelming. But are these really all separate problems?

Many churches havent taught people to think foundationally, and ther...
