Ministry Update: God Is Moving Amidst Political Turmoil in Peru

Right now, theres great political upheaval in the South American country of Peru. But a recent very encouraging report from Answers in GenesisLatin America speaker Joe Owen is fascinating and exciting. Theres a hunger for Gods Word in Latin America like we dont see in the USA.

Im excited to share this report from Joe Owen with you.

Although the country of Peru has struggled with political instability and corruption for many years, the last few years have been remarkable. The lat...

A Forbidden Planet Is Causing an Evolutionary Rewrite . . . Again

I recently wrote a blog about an impossible new ring system scientists discovered in our solar system and how this ring system is challenging evolutionary assumptions about the formation of planets. Well, two weeks later, headlines proclaimed the discovery of another evolutionary problem, this time describing a forbidden planet that shouldnt exist.

An article summarizing this new discovery states,

Scientists have discovered a huge Jupiter-sized planet orbiting a very small st...

Turkish Earthquake Death Toll Now Over 50,000: Wheres God in This Tragedy?

Our world is a broken placeyou dont have to look very far to see heartbreaking examples of pain, suffering, and death. As just one example out of many in the last few weeks, weve been horrified by the ever-climbing death toll and devastation of the earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. Over 50,000 are dead (about 48,000 in Turkey and 6,000 in Syria), and nearly a quarter million buildings are significantly damaged or destroyed. Wheres God in all this tragedy, pain, and suffering?

God has ...

Does the New Testament Prove Long Ages in Genesis?

Over the years, Ive heard this same tired argument over and over againand its been popping up recently in the comments posted to my social media postsso I thought I would address it again. It goes something like this: The days of creation cant be ordinary days, as the Bible states that a day is like a thousand years.

Sometimes I cant believe Christians even try to use this argument, but its actually quite prevalent in the church. So, lets start by considering the pa...

Arizona School Board Cancels Christian Teachers for Being Committed to Jesus

Ive been interviewed many times by the secular media, but a few of these interviews really stand out to me. One such interview, right as the Ark Encounter was opening, went like this.

So are Muslims allowed to come to the Ark Encounter?

I said, Of course, they are.

She said, What about Catholics?

I replied, Definitely.

She said, And what about gays?

Who Do We Want to Visit?

I then stated, Look. We want everyone to come. We invite all eight billion people on earth! No...

Is the Intelligent Design Movement a Help to the Church?

Over the years, Ive had a number of church leaders and Christian college and seminary profs say how wonderful the Intelligent Design (ID) movement is and what a great help to the church it is. But is it really?

First, we need to understand the difference between intelligent design arguments and the Intelligent Design movement.

Intelligent Design Arguments

At Answers in Genesis, we use various intelligent design arguments in a number of our presentations and articles. These arguments clearly ill...

Celebration Service for Dr. John Morris Homecoming

Last week, I was thrilled to be able to attend a memorial servicebut really a celebration servicein Dallas, Texas, for our good friend and colleague Dr. John Morris. And it was a true celebration as John has gone to be in his eternal home with his Creator and Savior.

I traveled with John on numerous speaking engagements in the USA and other parts of the world. We spoke together at many of the popular Back to Genesis seminars in the late 80s and early 90s. I had the honor of coa...

Which Is Your Family Onthe Broad Way or the Narrow Way?

The Bible tells us there is the broad way and the narrow way. The broad way is the world. We all live in the world, so we are living in the broad way. The narrow way is within the broad way but leading in the opposite direction.

Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few. (Matthew 7:1314)

The forces pulling against t...

Disgusting: Pro-aborts Claim Jessa Duggar Seewalds Miscarriage Was an Abortion

Pro-abortion (really, pro-baby-murder) activists claim they are pro-women and thats why theyre for abortion. But nothing could be further from the truth. They arent for womentheyre for an anti-God ideology that allows them to do whatever they want with their sexualitywithout having the responsibility of bearing or raising a child. Another disgusting example of how committed many of these activists are to furthering the murder of babies above all else recently appeared in...

What Is Apologetics?

In the mission statement for Answers in Genesis, three areas stand out as a summary of the ministrys emphasis: biblical authority, the gospel, and apologetics.

Answers in Genesis (AiG) exists to proclaim the authority of the Biblefrom the very first versewithout compromise by using apologetics . . . to communicate the message of Gods Word and the gospel so that believers are equipped to defend the Christian faith and nonbelievers are challenged with the truth of the Bible and its mes...
