Behind the Scenes: New Recreational Building for Seasonal Staff

At the Ark Encounter, we are blessed to have a seasonal housing facility, called The Landing, to host the many seasonal workers we need during our busy seasons. And its getting an upgrade! Our facilities crew is currently involved in the construction of a recreational building for our seasonal workers.

This recreational building will be such a great addition. Our staff are currently working on installing the AC units and internal buildout.

Can Division in the Church Be a Good Thing?

I do not ask for these only, but also for those who will believe in me through their word, that they may all be one, just as you, Father, are in me, and I in you, that they also may be in us, so that the world may believe that you have sent me. (John 17:2021)

In his high priestly prayer, Jesus prayed for the future church, specifically that we would be one. Because of this (and other scriptural teachings), Christians must strive for unitybut are there times when division is a good thi...

Behind the Scenes: A Reptilian Photo Shoot

With the many, many facets of the AiG ministry, staff often have rather unique taskslike photo shoots involving the beautiful snakes of Ararat Ridge Zoo at the Ark Encounter! Now, I know a lot of people dont like snakes, but you might be surprised that our most popular animal encounter program is Sssensational Snakes.

This program debunks snake myths and teaches guests the biblical truth about snakesand guests often end up appreciating, if not loving, snakes much more by the end of the ...

The Harvard of Christian Schools Going Woke?

A recent Fox News article, When the Harvard of Christian Schools Goes Woke, details what is happening at Wheaton College. The schools woke actions include banning biblical words such as service (due to how such a word may invoke power dynamics across socio-economic, racial, and cultural lines) and mankind. This article didnt surprise me in the least!

The opinion article states,

Wheaton College is often called the Harvard of Christian Schools due to ...

It Looks Broken to Me!

If youve ever attended or watched one of my presentations, youll notice I use numerous illustrations throughout because a picture really is worth a thousand words, as the saying goes. I thought today Id share four of those images with you, along with the teaching I provide to accompany them.

Kid pointing to statue saying 'It looks broken to me'Romans 8:22 and illustration of broken world because of sinKid pointing to broken world because of sinPerfect World, Intrusion, Restoration

These illustrations remind us that the world we live in is not as God made it. When God originally created everything, it was very good. There was no death, disease, or suffering. But because ...

Assisted Suicide and Human Rights

Should the mentally ill be allowed to choose to end their own lives? Thats a question causing a good deal of debate in Canada as the government seeks to (yet again) expand the eligibility criteria for what they call medical assistance in dying (or MAiD). While the implementation of this expansion continues to be delayed, it seems like its only a matter of time before it becomes the law of the landbut should it be?

Supporters of this expansion claim that its a human rights issue (whic...

LucyMissing Link or Part of the Ape Kind?

When you visit the Creation Museum, you will find the first series of exhibits teach people how to thinkwhich is radical for a lot of education today!

Ultimately, there are only two foundations that determine ones worldviewGods Word or mans word.

We help visitors understand that everyone has a worldviewa way of thinking. And ultimately, there are only two foundations that determine ones worldviewGods Word or mans word. Your worldview then determines how you interpret...

Who Am I? Gods Word Gives Answers to This Burning Question

Its an ultimate question: Who am I? And, according to our culture today, the ultimate answer to this vital question (with far-reaching implications!) is how we feel about ourselveswhat our passions, desires, and emotions tell us about ourselves. That is ultimate (though it changes constantly), and that is what answers the question, Who am I?

But this solution isnt working! Theres never been a generation more confused about who they are as they constantly seek to find some...

Future Baby Doctor Wont Practice Unless She Can Kill Babies in Abortions

Their feet run to evil, and they are swift to shed innocent blood; their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; desolation and destruction are in their highways. (Isaiah 59:7)

When the Bible describes those who love evil, who love spilling innocent blood, we might wonder who, other than a few shockingly evil characters from history, could be said to love shedding blood. But yes, those who love death are alive and well todayand they look like this young medical student in Wisconsin.

The state of Wis...

Reflecting on the Debate that Reached Millions

During my involvement in Answers in Genesis biblical apologetics ministry, there have been many times people tried to get me into a particular church or collegebut to no avail.

There were times we tried to reach out to particular Christian leaders or invite them to the Ark and Creation Museum so we would have the opportunity to impact them with the message God laid on our hearts. But alas, most times we were unsuccessful. Then, out of the blue, a door would open to get me into one of those...
