Do Aussie Animals Love the Snow?

Our first snowstorm this winter for Northern Kentucky arrived last week. It turned the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter into beautiful winter wonderlands. Schools in the area had a snow day, and staff were delayed getting into the Answers in Genesis offices because of the condition of many of the roads. But, despite the problems and delays the snow caused, it looked beautiful, and you may be surprised by some of the zoo animals that were thrilled with the cold and snow!
But before that, Id l...

New Discovery: Baby Birds Learn Their Songs Before Hatching

Have you ever noticed that Gods creation is filled with layers and layers of complexity? Just consider bird songs. Even in the winter, on a warm (warmer anyway!) sunny day, if you step outside, youll hear birds happily chirping as they hop around. It might seem commonplace since were so familiar with hearing birds sing, but its actually very complexand a new study examines yet another layer of complexity.
This study and its predecessor of a decade ago revealed that females of eigh...
Is Abortion Loving Your Neighbor As Yourself?

Many people make wild claims about the Bible, twisting the Scriptures (sometimes in very bizarre ways) to support their particular belief. But perhaps the most shocking of these claims is when people say that the Bible supports a womans supposed right to abortion (to killing her child). For example, people will say that loving your neighbor means supporting abortion. Such a statement should cause us to ask, What is love? In this case, love would mean death to a child! Evil!
The co...

How Do Rocks and Mountains Proclaim the Glory of God?

All of creationfrom the most majestic to the most mundanesings the praises of the Creator. It was all created by him and for him, and when we pay attention to creation, we should be moved to join our voices with all of creation to glorify God. And that even includes mountains, rocks, and fossilsmany of which are reminders of Gods judgment on sin and his mercy in saving Noah and his family and promising to never again flood the earth.
Now, you may never have thought about a majestic m...

Construction Update: New Zoo Construction Begins!

New upgrades are taking place at the Creation Museum! This month was the start of the demolition of the original zoo buildings in preparation for construction of our new, expanded zoo project. Its very exciting (especially for our zoo team!), and guests will love the new zoo and everything thats coming (more on that below).
As you can see in these photos, our zoo facilities team has started removing fencing and taking down all the old zoo buildings.

The new zoo will include beautiful animal...

How the Modern-Day Culture Suppresses the Knowledge of God

Not only is this the start of a new year, but its also the start of a new era for the Answers in Genesis ministry.
Some of you may already know that we announced at the end of 2023 that the board of directors of AiG unanimously approved my succession plan for this ministry. And the three founders, myself (obviously), Mark Looy, and Mike Zovath unanimously and enthusiastically approved this plan also.
As a result, Martyn Iles, who led a great Christian movement in Australia and was appointed Ch...

Archaeological Research Confirms a Biblical Account in 2 Kings

At that time Hazael king of Syria went up and fought against Gath and took it (2 Kings 12:17). This short summary of what must have been a fearsome battle against the stronghold of Gath introduces the threat King Hazael posed to Jerusalem, a threat that King Jehoash of Judah avoided by paying Hazael with sacred gifts. But, yes, even this minor, one sentence mention of a battle is true historical narrativeit really happenedand it appears it has been confirmed by archaeology!

Exciting New Giving Opportunity Allows You to Support AiG Now and Later

I am so incredibly thankful for the thousands of individuals and families who love this AiG ministry and want to be part of what were doing by giving to us financially. Last Days to Enjoy The Horse and His Boy at the Ark Encounter

Mally and I and some of our family went to see The Horse and His Boy on the Answers Center stage at the Ark Encounter. It was stunning, spectacular, amazing, and phenomenalI cant use enough adjectives to describe it!

Heres what we enjoyed about The Horse and His Boy:
Quality was outstanding, as good or better than any Broadway production but wholesome.Actors were extremely professional, and their diction was so clear.Costumes were fantastic.Sets were incredible. This story from The Chroni...January 15, 2024
Does Natural Selection . . . Slow Down Evolution?

For years weve heard that natural selection (along with mutations) is the driving force of evolution. So much so that observed instances of natural selectionlike in the article we will discuss beloware wrongly referred to as examples of evolution in action (in the sense of the molecules-to-man evolutionary belief system). So what do we make of a headline that proclaims, Natural Selection Can Actually Slow Evolution, Scientists Say?
Well, this story is reporting on rese...
