Daily Kawaii: January 26, 2011

kawaii

I'm starting a new daily series where I post things that I find Kawaii, or cute.  Keep in mind that I dread the color pink, so it's not going to be THAT kind of Kawaii.  Although, I might surprise you every now and then. ;)

Creature Feature Poll

the-count-sesame-streetI'm going to start a new thing here on my blog where I ask you, the readers, for your opinions on various subjects regarding books, characters, settings, etc...

Most will come from my demented and twisted head but sometimes, I'll bring up something one of you suggested.  For example, a reader sent a question via email this morning asking why I don't write about vampires and after chatting with her, I asked if I could repost it here.  She graciously said yes.

Why The Price Drop?

price_drop

So I got an email the other day - a complaint actually - about the price of the eBooks and paperbacks dropping.  I know that for some, the fact that the price lowered so significantly is a big turnoff, but after having a long discussion with several fans, I realized that the price that one pays for something that isn't tangible shouldn't be something that you should lose sleep over.

PS22 Friday falls on a great day: Christmas Eve!

Whether you celebrate Christmas (secularly or religiously) or not, I do want to send out my warmest and fondest greetings to all of you.  May you and your family be happy and content.  Thank you for making this year a great year to be a writer.

What's Coming Up For 2011

writingMy "To Write" list has grown considerably over the past few months as the idea faerie decides to sprinkle (or crap) her story dust all over me.  I've had to limit what I write down to just 5-7 books, of which I expect 4 to be completed.

Since I know some of you are interested in what's on the line-up, here's what to expect for the year 2011.

The End

godcoIt's finally here.  The end.  The end of a great chapter, the end of a great journey, the end of a series that has made me laugh, made me cry, made me mad, and made me sit back and reflect.

I'm not going to sit here and wax poetic (much) about how wonderful it's been to write such a fantastic story.  Instead, I'm going to thank everyone who's ever written, texted, emailed, commented, reviewed, rated, loved, or hated these books.

To the fans who've stuck by Grace and Robert through to the end, you have made me realize that we can have a relationship with characters in a book and have it be real, be genuine.  Your words of encouragement and your demands for more are exactly what a writer needs.

With Grace of Day just weeks away from being released, I've decided to celebrate by putting all of the ebooks on sale.

For the entire month of December, all ebooks will be $2.99 and all paperbacks will be $13.99 in our store.

Amazon is also selling the ebooks at $2.99 while you can buy nook/sony/palm versions at Smashwords for the same price if you choose to do your purchasing elsewhere.

Happy Holidays!
