Another Pyromantic Snippet

I'm still editing. Share time!

By
the time we reached the Inferno, I wasn't shaking from electrolyte withdrawal
anymore, but pure terror. Sid was ghostly white and not in much better shape.

Pyromantic Snippet

Apparently editing is when I like to share things. Well, I'm editing again. So I decided to share this wee bit of Pyromantic.

"Nice
to meet you, firebug."

Firebug Fun Fact

My wonderful neice sent me a picture of some Firebug fan art this afternoon and besides being overwhelmed with pure joy (I never get fan art! Bonus that my neice spent her time making me a picture! Eeeee!) it reminded me of a Firebug fun fact that I don't think I've shared. In the picture that my neice drew, Ava wears a T-shirt Lock buys in a gas station. While I made up the slogans on the pants, the shirts were based on actual shirts. Shirts that I bought with some friends on the way to Fairhope, Alabama for a writing conference.

Pyromantic Snippet

I haven't put anything on Ye Olde Blog in six months--I blame my hospital stay, my baby's hospital stay, and lastly the baby. Actually, it's probably because I've been hard at work trying to fix the draft of Pyromantic (aka Firebug 2 : Electric Bugaloo). Or possibly all of these things.

I did recently get an FAQ started (it isn't done.) and put a few new event dates on the site, so really, I feel like I'm doing fairly well. You know, for me.

News! (And odds are, you aren't going to like it.)

I hate being the bearer of bad tidings, I really do--and honestly, I'm not sure where this news is going to hit you guys. I'll start with bad news first, because I'm like that.

Interview!

My friend and fellow writer, Eva Langston, interviewed me on her blog. So if you're into that sort of thing, you can read it here. I talk about the new book a little, so it might be worth your while.

Radio! Bookplates! So many !!! *Updated July 8th, 2014*

So, Firebug is only 3 months away. Three! I can't believe it. This will lead, inevitably, to emails asking me how people can get signed books. I have a few options for you:

1) Wait until I come to your city. This is probably not your preferred option as it might take a while. Like, years.

Firebug on Audio

I got some great news this morning--Firebug will be released as an audio book! Recoded Books (they did the audio versions of Hold Me Closer, Necromancer and Necromancing the Stone) will be handling Firebug as well. I can't tell you how pleased I am. People tell me all the time how much they liked the audio version of my first two books (I can't listen to them myself...it's too weird to hear my own words outside my head) and I'm sure Recorded Books will the same amazing job with Firebug.

Signed Copies of Firebug

Firebug doesn't hit the shelves until September 23rd, and I don't know about you, but OH THE EXCITEMENT. (At least on my end.)

Some of you delightful creatures might be preordering the book and such, and I truly appreciate it. If you want a signed copy, you can order one from my local Indie bookstore, Third Place Books. Just let them know that you want me to sign it in the comment field when you order the book. I promise it will happen.
